I’m trying to make a fish comedy horror game but the fish comedy horror genre is very competitive so we’ll see how it goes.
Pic related is the fish in my fish comedy horror game
I have an idea for a game I'd like to see made, but none of the skills required to actually make it. Sorry, user.
Soul
would play
kino
Take the time to learn those skills, user, it's hard but not impossible. If it was impossible no one would make video games.
Fantasy open world action rpg.
based
Im starting today , trying to make a game inspired in GANTZ , whit similar gameplay to risk of rain 1. I dont know how to code , il try my best
i'm building an asteroids clone from scratch
it's been a while since i've used trig so thats kind of annoying
Ok, so I guess I should start with coding, right? I've tried to learn it before but couldn't wrap my gigabrain around the logic required.
Yes, definitely. Many people try to sell you on the idea that you don't need to code to make games, but that's bullshit.
As for where to start, Sololearn is good for starting out. It's not very indepth, but the way they teach is simple and effective.
i didn't know i needed this
How do I improve on pixel art tiles? As well as how do I get lines out of the tile map on Unity? I have it as you set cell size to .999 and it works, but it seems like a really shitty way to do it.
It's an RPG with action time-based combat in a real time world, I'm working on the AI and building out a simple map for balancing progression and such.
Have you tried looking at pixel art tile guides/tips? There's a lot on either one that can help you with making tilesets easier to generate and/or get better looks to them. Right now, your grass works until that bottom right dirt corner happens.
And the dungeon I'm working on as a sort of initial test quest.
I have been making a gacha game.
I have not something I'm WORKING on but rather WORKED on.
I wish I did more with this game but I only made it for a game jam and then sort of dropped it.
Started on an FPS in Unity. Decided to change it to a 3PS instead.
Haven't used Unity before, haven't done 3D characters before, haven't really coded C# before. It's a bit of a struggle.
So far I have the camera control down, and added some slow-mo for the hell of it.
Anyone have any tips for character controller tutorials?
second picture
Can't really see shit, bro. Maybe dial the darkness back a bit, but that shader looks nice.
comfy as fuck
Thanks.
Do they teach C#? I want to use unity as my engine.
Yes they do
a demo for a yaoi visual novel.
nothing fancy I just wanted to try to make a game with the 2D assets that I have, and just tell a simple story with some lewds scenes.
and I like girls too before you ask but not in VN type of stuff because the coomers ruined it for me.
Hold on, let me record something real quick.
>Making games like a bunch of NERDS
I'm programming a woman who will love me and never leave me
It's not going so well
I didn't make much progress lately but I did make a now functioning title screen and option selector, plus screen transitions. With this I should now be able to test out a pause screen and moving from one stage area to the next.
Oh, and I replaced the placeholder damage sprite and the flying enemy's placeholder sprite as well.
Found a compiler so anons wouldn't be sketched out by the .bat file. This is just a small experiment on how far I can get using batch. The latest version has a "world" map and multiple rooms to form a dungeon. Currently adding NPCs.

attached pic is what the linked version looks like.
rate my new game
Sorry, but Project1 was the peak of the series.
I'm making a shitty idle game
Visually deconstructed and re-constructed a Vagrant Story level, the textures need tightening up now, after i've mapped everything, but pretty amazed at the versatility they've managed to squeeze out of limited pallete and vertex colors.
I really like it user
damn this looks really cool
i would purchase this
What's the gameplay of these btw?
second post best post
I got a lot of the backing system in place now, namely as far as bullet logic and how they move and are created, as well as enemy movement, but now I need to make an actual stage to implement it.
For now, have a pattern while I'm in debug mode and get hit at the end but don't die
Any advice for someone trying to learn to 3d model from scratch?
Just like drawing, it's all about practice. Experiment, mess around, and eventually you'll start to develop your own work flow that works for you.
ludo
The fish one is survival horror satire with meta and surrealism elements
twitter for this?
Is the fish the protag, or is the pic of the protag watching the fish?
Yeah you can find me @ThatOtherFish1
No that’s just from the protagonist’s POV
Get on polycount forum and learn best practices right away.
Learn what's the current industry workflow.
Make some assets for an existing game, you'll learn limitations andtrain make an asset that fits into existing visual style.
At this point I've been posting the game enough times in these kinds of threads that I suspect people will get sick of it
A genesis-styled run n gun game, we actually released it on steam just recently.
I was kinda hoping to play as the fish. since you say it's THE fish, I'm assuming it's more like a Soma than a silent hill or something.
How is one person supposed to code, make sprites/models, animate, compose music, and actually design the game? I don’t know anyone who could do any of these things for me, and I’m not an alcoholic wizard like ZUN.
which programming language would Yas Forums use to code their A.I. gf?
You can easily do one of each, your problem is scope rather than amount of disciplines.
ZUN can't draw though
I released a game on itch.io and it got me downloads so far.
Going to wait a week before I look at the view and download count again. Just all that time making something and nobody plays it. Bad feeling.
Not that hard if you know what you want to do, plenty of devs produced 3d prototypes and finished games in these threads alone.
If you don't have any contacts I don't see how one is anywhere near enough though.
mitsuku was made with AIML
I want to make something like Yume Nikki in unreal engine
