A moment of silence for those that bought this piece of trash day one.
RESIDENT EVIL

Finished it earlier. I'm mostly happy with it. My enjoyment of Resistance will be the deciding factor in it being worth the full price spent or not
Role call for Ethan chads
>How can Redfield and Kennedy ever hope to compete with this alpha male?
what's wrong with it? does it not work on day 1?
It's a shitty cash grab. Soulless in every way.
REsistance is going to be dead in a month.
Its really good though. Sorry but you lost my dude.
Some iconic parts of the original are cut, open-ended puzzle sections have been replaced with mostly linear areas and the game is a bit on the short side. It's not terrible, but definitely not worth the 60 fucking dollars Capcom charges for it.
>So..rryy
I don't regret playing it by any means, but anyone who's not aching to play the game immediately should wait for a sale.
>REsistance is going to be dead in a month
I'm not expecting super big things from Resistance. If I get a week or two out of it I'll be happy, but people's tolerance for longevity differs. Some people need games to be 60 hours long for it to feel worth while
I agree with this. As a big REfag who's always eager to pick up the new mainline entries day one I'm happy with it so far, but I feel like people who have more of a passing interest can wait until the price drops
This. Capcom are pretty generous with how long it takes for their games to go on sale too.
It'll be 1/4 of the launch price come Christmas sales. It's how I got RE7 and REmake 2. Not a very long wait at all especially considering all the other stuff that's out/coming out
It's a good game, not a long game
How much till shitposters get BTFO like they did with RE2R? are we really going to do this every year?
Sorry Michael...
Yeah I'm one of them. Fuck I havent messed up on bying a game tuis badly up untill now.
You were warned.
>buying the biggest disaster since anthem
Marketing really works, huh?
I agree, I really like the way you get stuff for ng+ to spice it up and I was never all that big a fan of the split routes in 2 anyway since I don't think they changed enough to make it feel more worthwhile to go through it multiple times.
I completed in almost exactly 5 hours on hardcore, total playtime 6:16
>times saved 45
>deaths 20
It is REALLY short, and it is REALLY on rails, but I had quite a bit of fun, the game is just way too forgiving especially when it comes to item management and save points
It gives you some freedom at the hospital and the RPD, and ironically enough those are the Carlos sections
now to try Nightmare difficulty
Fuck off Michael
>mfw watching my friends purchase EVERY SINGLE recent PS4 release
>P5R, RE3, FF7R, etc
>mfw they aren't going to beat any of them
>mfw they're all going to talk about how good all of them are
I hate these people
A broken clock is right twice a day.
Everything you said about Doom Eternal, RE2R and DMC5 was still wrong.
why did they drop the ball on this game?
True, but i dont listen to what Yas Forums says ever. Because most of the time I end up enjoying the games that this board shits up. But I guess this time Yas Forums won.
You know what? OP is right. Why the fuck should I drop 60 DOLLARINOS on a mediocre cashgrab when I have the superior product waiting for me that I can play whenever I want? You know what? Fuck y'all. That's exactly what I'm gonna do. Will do a Leon A run after this thread.
Capcom tradition. Make a few right steps then trip and break your nose, rinse and repeat.
I did the same. Already finished re3, playing royal right now and can't wait for ff7, life is good
>RE8 is another first person game starring Ethan
The seething from purists would be hilarious
R3make is a little disappointing but nowhere near comparable to Anthem
I suspect it will not even be the biggest letdown of 2020. The biggest complaints about this game are the length and the misuse of Nemesis which still leaves a fairly engaging game for you to play and replay.
Yas Forums is overhyping this as a disaster when it really isn't. Not as good as it should have been sure but still a 6/10 at the very least
Shitposters have it easier this time with the Metacritic score. It's not a quick shutdown like 2 remake was
Can you make a character more generic than ethan ?
I actually went off of how much i liked REmake and kinda had rose-tinted glasses from then on. Learned my lesson though.
so you're not doing the same, then?
>It is REALLY short
Do you people even play RE games? 6 hours is much longer than the average RE game. The average game is like 2-3 hours on a first playthrough. And don't fucking pretend playing as a different character makes a fucking difference. Whether its Jill and Chris in REmake, or Lean and Claire in the og RE2 there is hardly any difference between playthroughs. RE3make probably has more content than the average RE game at launch.
This is literally what I want. 7 was great. More please
Based
>RE2R release
>Man, whats the deal with all this gutted content wtf!
>RE3R release
>Man, this game sucks can't wait to go back to this perfectly crafted game called RE2R!
like pottery
Marvin & Brad thing was sure sad
Yeah, but it's the fact that it's 6 hours of linearity that bothers me more than anything. I wanted to explore Raccoon City like I did the police station, not it being just the demo area
The bossfights are unironically the best in the series though
>RE8 is a F.E.A.R-styled action horror shooter about gunning down Umbrella goons and mutants
Please, just do this, it'd be the best game in the entire franchise.
Aye user what’s game of the year for you?
>Spider-Man it’s fantastic
>That’s cool I think it’s Hitman 2
>Nah user that game is shit
>He hasn’t played Hitman 2
>He hasn’t beat Spider-Man or even made it half way through and never will
the "gutted" parts from RE2 were barely noticeable
They said the games a bit more open to exploration. How true is this? I like doing all the side quests and exploring. Will the game still be 6 hours?
Rumours are saying it'll be very gothic horror-focused, take place in Europe with a portion of the game in a castle and have werewolves as recurring enemies
Watch RE8 be the most kino RE to date
Bullshit that there is other people that like Ethan besides me
>This fucking nerd stops a menace that a trained military that punch Boulders and old Man powerhouse that punch alligators couldnt stop It.
>Not only saves his girl but get a Southern Belle as a bônus...but only If you make the right choice
>While the fan ravorite Leon is chasing a corona bitch for years kek
Ethanchad and proud
>absolutely gutted scenario A/B dinamic
>barely noticeable
Yes, I got an achievement for picking all the locks and opening all the chests etc
It's a 6 hour campaign with some parts that really shine but are painfully underused
You do unlock nightmare difficulty that remixes the enemies you encounter and makes them even stronger, I have yet to try that
does it include ink ribbons? seems that hardcore is the new "Normal", can't believe retards even played on normal for their first run
Based
>Shakes off his arm (and leg depending on your playthrough) getting cut off like it's nothing
>LAUGHS at sights that would make pussboy Leon and wannabe military man Redfield quiver in their knee-highs
Ethan is undoubtedly the grooviest RE protagonist
It isn’t horrible, it’s just half assed. This could’ve been the best RE game ever with less linearity, more puzzles, and a Nemesis that actually pursues you.
>I wanted to explore Raccoon City like I did the police station
But thats why the game is good, instead of having half the game be the RPD, and the rest of the game being a linear mess, its basically a collection of mini-RPDs through the whole thing. The city at the opening, the hospital and the lab are all very open environments that you could easily get lost in. RE2make is good, but after you get to the sewers it becomes a different game, a much worse one. RE3make is much more consistent.
No ink ribbons, but saving barely matters anyway, it's more of a novelty
You're not going to go like
>OH SHIT I DIDN'T SAVE, I DIDN'T MANAGE MY ITEMS REEEE
because inventory management doesn't really exist
>werewolves as recurring enemies
So when are we getting our ghost-version of RE4? Also, one step closer to introducing vampires into this world as well. Hell, Wesker might as well be one.
And werewolves.
Zombie werewolves.
With like machineguns and shit.
>if a retard shits on enough things he eventually is correct by happenstance
no way
It was worth it
imgur.com
Yes but it's just not enough, couple that with nemesis not really stalking you on top of being dropped by 1 (one) grenade and you get a relatively "okay" game
What are all the difficulty options?
So who is attending the true playthrough experience?
Basically Not A Hero turned into a full game
REmake 2 felt like RE2 but in third person. This feels more like RE4 with RE6 style setpieces
*GLUG GLUG GLUG GLUG GLUG*
Or if you're familiar with the Hitman games it's like going from blood money to absolution
>the spider things that grab jill and then shake and shiver as they coom down her throat
brehs
The lack of AB scenarios/zapping system brought the game down from being a top RE contender for me
I have faith in Capcom. I was happy with RE7 and these all new editions of Resident Evil 2 and 3
this
I think the people that developed this game are the last remnants of the RE4-6 era
Hopefully they stop
For those that beat it already, is Mercenaries Mode a thing? That was my favorite part from 3, getting to play as big dick Mikhail and saving civilians
No, Resistance replaced it
You know the answer, shitposter
stop pretending and move onto another game already
That’s so painful though I don’t think it’s quite as bad as absolution, at least the core gameplay is good
>couple that with nemesis not really stalking you on top of being dropped by 1 (one) grenade
Its a shorter section than I would have liked, but to say he doesn't stalk you is dishonest. Also, there are two difficulty modes beyond hardcore dude. Nightmare is no fucking joke. And you have Inferno beyond that. You also have a shop to use new items on your new playthroughs. and this shit isn't lame either. You can get a fucking flame knife or a lightning gun. Way more interesting than just throwing in infinite ammo weapons and calling it a day, but that stuff is there as well. Nightmare changes things up a ton too. New item and enemy placements. You get the magnum within the first few minutes.
>and you get a relatively "okay" game
Nah. Its really good.
>Shadman
Whats the code for that one?
I love RE4 but this isn’t supposed to be that, that’s why it’s disappointing
it's not shadman you fucking casual
Best buy hasn't deliveryred mine
APOLOGIZE
>birth death doesn't involve her with a large stomach and going into labor
Wasted potential
>get's his fucking arm cut off
>still goes through getting shit done
Ethan was lowkey a beast.
