I've treied it and its clunky to play with kb/m, I know it was designed for gamepad but aiming with sticks is aids.

can you try to advertise more subtly

anyone played Recore? Is it fun/decent?

Recore is pretty fun, albeit towards the end I never finished it. Sale price its great though and also the definitive edition I believe fixed some of the issues. If you like Metroid Prime you'll like recore.

>Strip out online multiplayer
You might as well just pirate it.

read some steam reviews and there seems to be a lot of negatives about the game

the multiplayer in this game was DoA, there was nothing fun about it.

how cringey is this game on a scale of 10?

No point buying it, it's on Game Pass.

Like a 7.

Put it on the Switch and I'd probably get it.

It's an xbox platform exclusive its not coming to switch, reason why Ori came to swithc was to boost interest in the sequel and reason why cuphead came to switch is because its not technically an xbox exclusive.

Neither studio are owned by Microsoft, Xbox just gave Cuphead a really large platform for Cuphead so in return they stayed loyal to the platform.

Rumor has it Game Pass may come streaming to the Switch via the XCloud. Or that Microsoft may work with Nintendo to stream your own Xbone to your own Switch for remote play. Don't discount the possibility of playing this on a Switch one day. Times are weird.

I've heard those rumors too. Would be so crazy to see that happen. In a similar respect, Sony surveyed its playerbase recently and asked if they'd be interested in remote playing their PlayStation on their Switch. Its such a bizarre idea, but I guess it kinda checks out, you'd need to own both devices to make use of the feature, so it's not like enabling it would take away business from either company, in theory it could be mutually beneficial.

>Sorry I was checking reddit
Line from the game, work it out from there, gameplay wise it's just worse Saints Row 4 aside from the grinding.

Xbox and Nintendo together sounds like a perfect timeline.

>It's an xbox platform exclusive
Sunset Overdrive on Steam doesn't require Xbox anything

They mention reddit by name, mention neogaf by name, and there's a character named 4kim. You tell me.

Its not happening, wifi on the switch is not good enough nor does the switch support analog triggers.

They would have to create a pro model switch before that's even possible. Hell they could've bypassed the analog trigger issue by allowing bluetooth on switch. Apple TV lets you use an Xbox One or PS4 controller naively via bluetooth.

and yes I am aware that in Japan you can play Assassin's Creed and Resident evil 7 via the cloud but think about this, how would publishers react if the switch let you play a game via Game pass or xCloud instead of buying off the eshop?

It makes sense, it's not like Microsoft has any handhelds competing with Nintendo.

Actually, I think Phil Spencer said on an IGN interview 2 days ago to not expect anything except Minecraft stuff for Switch. Ori and Cuphead were done because of the developer's wishes, but Microsoft themselves are not expanding Xcloud or Game Pass to Switch.

It is good enough: Homebrewers/Modders already have the Switch remote playing their PCs and (with lots of extra jumping through hoops) their PS4s. In addition to that, in Japan, they have released 3 games on the Switch that can only be played by streaming it from their servers: Assassin's Creed Odyssey Cloud, Resident Evil VII Cloud, and Phantasy Star Online 2 Cloud. The tech is enough in the Switch for this to be viable. Nintendo and Microsoft get along well, and Sony is flat out asking their playerbase if they want to be able to stream their Playstations on their Switchs for remote play.

And the lack of analog triggers does not negate the ability for remote play, they are not crucial for most games. This is why you can remote play a PS4 with a vita, which is even lacking actual buttons like L2, R2, L3, and R3. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Sunset Overdrive is a lot of fun. I still have it installed from last year. Going to play through it again pretty quick. It's worth way more than $10 you're getting a deal.

It was the epitome of a hipster game.

I still would never want to play Forza Horizon or any game with cars without analog triggers, I would love to see xcloud come to switch though

Stop using logic to make this sound so appealing. The Switch really has found a way to exist in a bubble of it's own, and doing something like that with Microsoft or Sony would really drive that idea home.

Well then you wouldn't have to play that game on the Switch without analogue triggers. Surely there are some Xbone games you'd like to play on the go that have little to no use of analog triggers. So even if you wouldn't like it for every game, it would still be a feature that holds some value to you.

this comes back to the ideal that I think with controllers, making controllers exclusive to a platform feels archaic, my headphones work on any device that has a jack or adapter. Why shouldn't a controller work like that?

I mean that's pretty much the answer I'd expect to such a question at this time. If it were to happen, they obviously want to reveal such a feature in a very specific way. Like it'd be big news for Microsoft AND Nintendo. Surely, they have an agreed upon way of revealing this info, and to give any indication earlier than that reveal might hurt the effect they're going for. Of course, that's convenient for me, because it also legit could be the truth and it coming to the Switch is off the table. I just don't think that answer is really definitive of anything when you consider how he'd likely respond if it is a plan for a future reveal.

That game isn't made by MS or any Xbox studio. It was made by Insomniac, and it is easily their only bad game.

nigger its published by Xbox Game Studios global publishing, without their money Sunset Overdrive wouldn't exist.

I loved it. My favorite non-Nintendo collect-a-thon this gen.

At least try a bit you fucking shill.
If you want to advertise your game then start with an actual in-game screenshot.

It's Insomniacs best game since the PS2 era of Ratchet and clanks faggot

very based

He said he’s done confusing customers with the whole “will it come to switch” thing. He either wants to stop putting games on switch or go all in and make an actual platform within Nintendo. My guess would be something like Xbox game pass on switch or something

Yeah, and Sony seems to have even bowed out of the handheld race. If they want remote play to continue to be a thing as they go into the next gen for the PS5 and Vitas are further in the rear view mirror, considering support for the feature with the Switch actually kinda makes a lot of sense. It would tempt Nintendo owners to also get a PlayStation, and on the other end it would tempt PlayStation owners to also get a Switch so they could make use of the feature. Synergy lol.

So what is the game comparable to then? I love Ratchet and Clank, so I have an interest in this.

they don't really need to support switch since the PS4 controller natively supports all mobile phones including the iPhone.

Tony Hawk Underground 2 meets Ratchet and Clank

I like the female mc in this game, her cute raspy voice made my pp tingle.

Exactly. I think streaming Game Pass with the Xcloud is very likely. And I think they might consider enabling remote play of your Xbone/Series X with your Switch. Microsoft doesn't have a handheld of their own, and doesn't seem interested in making one. If they want their playerbase to have the freedom to play on the go if they want, then they would want to expand their handheld options, obviously smartphones and tablets work, but the Switch would clearly be ideal. And given their currently relationship with Nintendo, I really think this all checks out. I dunno when we'll hear it, but I think it's coming.

let's not kid ourselves here though. Any gamer is gonna have a preferred way of playing video games on the go, and it sure as hell isn't gonna be on their smartphone with a separate controller peripheral of some sort.

why would they do this when your mobile phone supports xcloud as well as laptops?

like I said, "obviously smartphones and tablets works, but the Switch would clearly be ideal," you can't deny that playing console games on the go is much more preferential to be done on a system that is an actual portable console with nice physical built controls and everything.

A really shitty Ratchet and Clank ripoff.

No it fucking isn't. This game is dogshit compared to Spider-Man, the Resistance trilogy, and every modern R&C game. The only game that might be as bad or worse than Sunset Overdrive is Spyro 2.

Does the Xbox One controller have center pivot on the dpad?

No. The Xbone controller d-pad is terrible.

Know of a controller that does, preferably bluetooth?

>liking new-R&C
>liking resistance
eww

it kind of feels janky and cheap to play unfortunately, I wanted to like it

Spider-man is just okay, it's not a new IP and its just a polished triple a version of all the other spider-man games. Sunset was a lot more memorable imo and I had more fun with it.

Yikes. Pathetic Xbone shills.

fuck off and go back to watching movies

'on the go' - why would you wanna play video games from anywhere but the comfort of your own home, or a friend's house, where you could easily take your full console if you wanted? Effectively all it really means for most people is 'while taking a shit' or'playing games on the bus'....the latter of which every adult finds to be somewhat infantile behavior. Anyway thanks for reading my blog post, don't forget to upvote and subscribe

hahaha, sure, whatever you say
if you mean it's like the 360 dpad then no, it's a clicky dpad similar to quite a few handheld consoles, if you like clicky dpads it's great

Sunset Overdrive is not an Xbone exclusive.

It's a Sony IP developed by Insomniac

its not, it's just not available nor ever will be available for Playstation and Nintendo switch. as it was funded by Microsoft.

Technically any future sequels would be a Sony IP, however Sunset Overdrive 1 is still owned and controlled by Microsoft. and Sony will never do anything to Insomniac besides forcing them to release Spiderman sequels anyway. Drew Murray who was the creative director on sunset left Insomniac to join The Initiative (Microsofts new AAA studio)

Okay, so? Still not an Xbone exclusive. Might as well say people who like Nioh are PS4 shills.

Unless Microsoft put Game Pass on the Switch, which isn't as crazy an idea as it might initially seem.

And good riddance to him, it was their worst game and sold like shit so he was clearly a weak link. Thankfully we'll never have to suffer through a sequel to this garbage instead of getting great games like Spider-Man.

still funded by Microsoft and still not coming out on anything beside PC

is Horizon Zero dawn no longer a PS4 console exclusive because its on PC?

You've never gone on a vacation and wanted to play video games in the plane or car ride? You don't have a commute in the city which includes a 40 minute train ride every day? Do I need to keep giving completely understandable examples of why people like portable gaming? Not for you? Cool, doesn't negate the fact that it has merit for others.

If you buy it and like it on PC, you're not a PS4 shill that's right.

It's the biggest borderlands game that's not borderlands.
You can tell it was written by a bunch of early 40 year olds trying to sound like a bunch of early 20 years trying to make a crowd of 12 year olds with their parents watching, laugh.
It's sophomoric and wants to go over the top but seems 'restrained'
In other words it's like that lame uncle who tries to be hip and cool, but then realizes you're a teenager so he tries to dial up the edginess and bawdy factor to still look hip and cool. It's like an 8 if you're looking too hard into it.

Combat is decent, character customization is great in the clothing department but you literally have 6 or so faces to choose from.
Getting around and transportation is the best aspect of it.

I know the devs really want to make a sequel but it's trapped in a weird copyright limbo with it.

sea of thieves is way better

>A new IP with a weird art style sells like shit
>a shitty super hero tie in game with Batman styled combat sells crazy well because it's based on the most popular super hero in the world
Damn, really makes me think user.

it doesn't make you a shill for a console to play games on a console nigger, a shill is someone who relentlessly defends anti-customer practices such as censoring games and pretending everything is ok when its not.

Is Spider-Man the most popular super hero in the world? Seems pretty reasonable I guess. I guess I just always associated Superman with that for some reason, but he's really not as popular as he used to be, and honestly, I think Batman might be more popular than Superman at this point.
