It's because of women writers being jelaous of fictional characters.
A hot girl, even fictional one, is threatening to a female. Not because she poses actual threat but because from her perspective by being hot, cool, capable etc. she raises the bar for her and devaluates her pussy in the eyes of other men.
When a man writes a character, he writes an ideal (not Mary Sue, mind you) - that is a specific archetype that is then put in certain situations and is meant to inspire overcoming challenges etc.
So he writes a muscular cool Chad who defeats challenges and fucks hot bitches because for him it's a goal to achieve. Someone better than him.
Meanwhile a woman must write a female character that is worse than her because it puts her on higher value.
Which is why you have in recent media ugly women fucking hot studs (Netflix's Witcher - sorceresses are ugly as fuck while almost every 9/10 + girl would spread her legs for Cavill) - because by that they can convince themselves that their roastie 30+ lonely pussies can score such a guy.
Sexualization/Objectification etc. of women was never an issue. The issue was that women felt threatened by men being attracted to someone other than them. In evolutionary sexual market, woman is the picker while the man is someone who has to achieve her. So when she has less men to choose from she feels threatened.
