100% agreed. Richard, Sophie and Pascal are wonderful and the rest are great too. Best combat in the series, hands down. I wish we got more like this, Arise looms cool though. Hope it isn't effected by covid

The cast is shit, Hubert is the only good character. Game is geared for defense a lot, you need to constantly be holding guard to dodge and replenish CC, and the combo tree is cancer, and B-artes are just spam artes. Horrible, braindead story about muh friendship, and really, a fucking terrible, terrible cast. I don't remember the music at all, Hubert was the highlight of the game. The beginning of the end, this is when Tales games started going to shit (what a surprise that Zestiria and Berseria, two games that use the Graces combat as a blueprint, turned out to be shit). All flash, no substance.
Best western game is Vesperia DE. Best game for combat is pic related. Best story is Phantasia.

Ostensibly summer when the Taipei Game Show happens. Yeah, that's technically still happening.
I was also meaning to ask, do you happen to have the Destiny DC OST? It's impossible to find online, and I don't want to have to rip it from PCSX2 audio. There's one really beautiful song on there that isn't in the original game.

They updated the Fes site literally today with a warning of the possibility it could be cancelled, but they haven't outright cancelled it yet. Also updated the cast with Tempest and Crestoria members.

I woke up remembering it and have been thinking about it since, thought I'd imagined that section at the end. It gives me the same feelings as when I played DC for the first time and fell in love with Rooty.

You might have a little trouble with it at first. Make sure you practice Manual cancel until it becomes muscle memory. Other than that, and the awkward third act, you'll more than likely have a good time.

Absolutely based. Graces is fantastic and the peak of combat for the series. The story is really silly and childish but that's kind of its charm as well, every Tales title brings something different to the table. Great approach to Titles and the Eleth Mixer was a very fun gimmick. Only thing the game could have used was slightly higher effort dungeon design.

Everyone has vastly varying opinions because each game has its own identity. Symphonia Abyss and Vesperia are pretty similar in mechanics and gameplay but otherwise they're quite varied, and the series switches out writers and character designers frequently. Honestly they're all at least decent.
