FF13-2 definitely belongs on the list. I'm not against downer endings, and I realize they did it to set up Lightning Returns. but it is still bullshit to end a game with the MC dying and the whole planet getting fucked over because of her actions.
I was extra annoyed because there are multiple endings, but they are Chrono Trigger style where the alternate endings are clearly non-canon.

Zelda is now about Zelda's journey, Link is just along for the ride

Hylia didnt create the "curse", that was Demise and the only reason it happened in the first place is because the childhood friend of the incarnation of Hylia wanted to save his friend, not Hylia. Links is still a hero and he jumps onto action to save the world of a reincarnating evil that has an issue with HIM AND ZELDA, not only zelda.

Ganon was far better when he was a thief who managed to become powerful by stealing the power of the Gods that he is a constant threat to Hyrule either because they can only seal him away or the followers he amasses resurrect him rather then the physical manifestation of some dead God's butthurt who will constantly be reincarnated just because.

The sword kills Link if his health isn't high enough in BOTW, Zelda is immune to everything since she survived fighting Ganon for 100 years without aging one bit. They had to nerf Zelda in the story for it to even work & admitted that Link being the protagonist was a last minute desicion
