It's a game that has very good optimisation on PC so it's almost like a best case scenario for the 2080 in a sense. I have a 1070 and at max settings I was getting around 100 fps despite my CPU being 5 years old now and only 4 cores.

Can the new consoles achieve that? No. Sure, they will make statements that sound like their consoles drastically out-perform even the highest end pc's, They certainly did that with Red Dead Redemption 2. In reality RDR2 ran with extensive blur filters and still can only achieve an average of 27 frames per second on the console.

Consoles don't get another upgrade for ten years. PC's can play every game made for the pc in the last 30 years. Consoles can't even play games made for the previous generation because consoles don't have any backward compatibility.
