haven't played much mastermind, but they seem like good fodder to spawn behind a door to make survivors second guess themselves before going through.

you could maybe use them when you've already downed someone and just want to spawn something near them to deter a survivor from rezing immediately while your other minions are doing shit.

I've been using them in choke points after doors, seems best to use them with a bunch of other zombies or something the survivors have to focus on

Doors.

Don't let him corner you, and don't split up, hit him with flash bangs to disrupt his pulverise. The safest and most annoying way is to jump into the safe room with the supply box in area 2

dont let him corner you would be the obvious answer. always have your teams split into twos when he shows up so he can't just wreck your shit all at once, and your teammates can progress or vice versa.

also a great tip, if you've been running from him for a bit and he's right on your tail, you can more than likely get away with a quick 180 and run past him. most people won't see it coming so you can get some distance from him while also creating a mindgame during future chases.

Do split up. When the tyrant is in play the mastermind can't focus on more than one guy. Perfect opportunity to get the objectives done. If Mr X is on you you run, while the others smash jars or grab keycards.

This user is right Every time Mr.X goes through a door, he'll do a small animation with him passing through the doorway, and he can't do shit while this animation is playing. You can just keep running past him through doorway over and over and he can't do shit.
For the 3rd area, the lifts can cut him off/fuck with him.

And as a whole Tyrone's kick can stagger him for a couple of seconds.

Yeah but be careful with that. He can do his instant kill choke grab through the door, and he can bullrush through the door too.

I tried doing the old doorsy dance with one Mr X player who simply grabbed my ass and killed me.

Every once in a while you will get a magical game. As people get more experienced at the game it will become more common.

It's always fun when you are clearly the only good player on the team and the mastermind is also good and he notices, either piling shit on top of you or just leaving you alone. Had a guy spawn an ivy, a croupier, and an armored zombie just on top of me as I tried to smash the final jar.

I think a lot of people don't know how to play, the tutorial is honestly pretty bare bones. If you have a mic give people some pointers during the game and they play a lot better. Some clearly don't even know Jan can hack cams and stuff or to go to the exit

UUUGH, I'm trying to sneak around, but I'm Dummy Thicc and the creak of my ass leather keeps alerting Mr. X.

I actually find it fun to play with low-skill players because it feels more challenging, whenever I play with a skilled team it feels too formulaic, we just do the objectives and win with not much effort.

I won every game as mastermind till today. Seems survivors have begun to figure out how to play. Seems rushing+quickdraw revolver do extreamly well against daniel here. Also MrX is just to damn slow for this game mode. I almost wish I could just hand the big guy off to the AI so I could handle doors and traps while he tears through the survivors. Kinnda makes me wonder how the game would be with two people on the mastermind team. One placing the enemies and one allowed to control.

I think Mr.X needs a rework in two specific areas to be more threatening.
1) Going through doors. He should still go at the same speed, but if another survivor tries to go through the door at the same time it should either not allow them to by increases Mr.X's player collision box during the door animation, or should result in an automatic grab. Maybe not the pulverizer grab. Something like a grab and toss back the way they came.
2) Upon him spawning, all safe room doors should lock up. That way survivors can't just beeline it to the safe room and wait it out there.
