By all rights Yuan Shao's start location in 190 should have been labeled an easy mode and Cao Cao's start location in 190 a hard mode instead of vice versa.

This is intentionally misleading. It's not counting the several thousand troops that remained behind as a garrison at Hefei itself, and also neglecting the fact that Zhang Liao's 800 man raiding party wasn't fighting Sun Quan's entire 100,000 man army at once, but hitting their advance units that had just arrived but not prepared yet.

Dude was a minute away from killing Sun Quan with an 800 man raiding party. You're right that he didn't solo an entire army, but goddamn he still went hard.

Next gen leaders need to be unique. It's silly how Cao Cao and Liu Bei still don't have unique children.

He comes off as aloof in his arrogance, since he only cared for liu bei's opinions or his own, but he at least seemed to realize the difference between wisdom and folly, he ended up acting as rash as zhang fei to his subordinates and in his actions in the guardianship of jingzhou, which felt like something he'd never have done since liu bei's word was his scripture -- fucking up because of personal pride and failing his Brother was something he'd always make sure he didnt do.
