Every single Sony console since the PS3 has sounded like a fucking jet engine on steroids that also gets incredibly hot when it's on for too long. The PS5 being no different shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. We're going to see the exact same problems that happened with the PS3 and PS4 where the demo kiosks they have on display at stores that sell electronics overheat and end up killing the console. Sony can't even publicly show the PS5 yet because the design clearly isn't finalized, and they can only release very little info about it. That presentation they showed off like two or so weeks back was supposed to be for GamesCon. Could you imagine seeing a presentation like that, in which they don't even show off the console, and your first reaction is supposed to be "Okay, I'm sold"?

Facts: Sony is fucking retarded at designing hardware, the PS4 and PS4 pro use laptop-tier cooling whereas even the base XBone uses a nice fat heatsink with a 120mm cooling fan

No XB model has been plagued by noisy fans. Microsoft seems to have this figured out with their Mac Pro-esque tower design (1 fan to cool an entire system)

I just wanna say that despite owning every PS from 1 to 4, I really hope that the PS5 is DOA and Xbox has a better UI than before. It would mean that I could finally enjoy the Xbox again the same way I did with the 360 and all our friends would be back on the same system instead of being split between PS4 and Xbone.
The 360 era was legit the most fun on console, and I'd like that back.

The Xbox can be twice as strong as the PS5, it doesn't matter because, and you better learn this lesson once and for all: raw technical power NEVER EVER mattered for consoles. As long as the generation itself makes a leap, who's the best of the bunch, and who's the worst, does not matter.

Only thing that matters are games, online support/features, and popularity.

Like always really, that's why I would rather wait for a revision, I really hate loud consoles.

Unless you're stupid, you're not going to buy a new console at its launch anyway but wait a couple years until there's enough games you might want.
So this isn't a big issue to anyone but AAA devs who won't be able to work properly with the PS5 for a while.
Does it matter? Switch has no AAA due to its harware and it's doing fine.
