I played the absolute shit out of Retail because i was addicted to my main account.
Now that i have some quaratine time I'm actually playing Classic like I did back 15 years ago with friends.

Why does Blizzard think that the best way to attract people to WoW is to speed everything up so that they get bored more quickly?

I have a quintuple exp buff on a private server for a better expansion that I don't have to pay for.

What are some good pservers that arn't shady

leveling Classic is more comfy than anything. And there are so many classes to choose from

With level-scaling and this buff it means you could rotate through different zones with multiple characters. Not sure if there's a point leveling new alts though.

MMORPGs are flawed by design. And they're made to be reminiscent of skill but explicitly designed to rely on as little skill as possible. Just time and investment.

That they use exp modifiers as such a commodity is almost by itself proof of that.

If my life was like it was 10 years ago I would agree. The casual thing is more appealing when I just want to kill an hour or two at a time.

yep, I was having a lot of fun with Classic, but not enough to justify the massive time sink to 60 (when I knew I wouldn't really raid or PvP anyway).
it's easier to just race through levels in retail, see all the zones and experience every class

Ya I got almost full pre raid bis in classic and then realized I can't/don't want to commit to meeting up with 39 jackasses every week when there's hobbies I would rather engage in now.

Fair, different strokes. Some of the class revamps since I used to play are fun though. I've been having a lot of fun blood tanking and disc healing.

Anybody who values their time wouldn't waste it playing a game that actively tries to waste your time.

As a result of the small lack of content they can produce, they feel forced into fucking over the players with timegating, dailies and reputation requirements.

It doesn't matter anyway, the game is a chore in the first place, boring repetitive quests and raid bosses that require standing still and performing your rotation of spells for 20 minutes straight.

no one actually liked raiding in WoW even when it was relevant, dungeons were cool though and there's a reason raid sizes got lower and eventually the game focuses on 5 mans.
All the zoom zooms or shitters that never tried raiding thought classic raiding would be fun but no it's shit.

I haven't paid real money for a game time since WoD. Without the garrison gold in BFA though, farming was taking up too much of my time so I dropped it about two patches back.

Video games that respect the player and are fun to you aren't a waste of time.

Games like WoW that have devs that try their hardest to stretch tiny bits of content as far as they can go at the expense of the player are a waste of time.

Most of my raiding was in BC, honestly the hardest part of raiding has been rounding up enough competent ppl.
