Really disappointed I can't seem to make diagonal waterfalls with the waterscaping permit. I guess I should've seen it coming with the fences not having diagonal spaces. Unless I'm just doing it wrong, since I find it a bit difficult to round out my rivers.

What's the best way to clean up edges when doing water terraforming? It seems to always give or take a full block of land and I want to smooth the edges.

Turnips as long as you're keeping an eye on price listings. That and the likelihood of rolling to visit (a) tarantula island. It seems April has brought in an infusion of water bugs that affects spawn rates on other, normal islands. If you can actually make a good haul of tarantulas, and store them all up for a visit from Flick, he buys them at 12K a bug.

protip: at 11 seconds in that video, you should have held A before turning around. Pressing A with the right timing has a delay, but if you time it so you just have to release on the tarantula, you'll have a much easier time getting them.

So, run away, hold A, turn around while holding A, release at the right time. Like this.

Turnips is the least grindy by far, although it's not really much good if you need instant bells. Once you play the market once though, you should always have plenty of cash on hand to where waiting out the market each week isn't a problem at all.
