for honor is a game that i really wish got popular enough to spawn a genre. there really isnt anything like it.

It's playerbase is pretty stable. I don't think the game will go into maintenance mode but rather it'll either get a sequel or a major overhaul that lets them add better pve and shit.

its literally just a 3d fighter except you can see if attacks are high, mids, or lows. the 4v4 is unique but not a real expansion on the genre

I liked the game well enough but I stopped playing because its repetitive. The reason things like Mount and Blade are popular and still played years after launch is because they have an in depth singleplayer mode, as oppose to just arenas where you fighting up to 5 people at a time.

I like that there are constant updates to the game even still, Ubisoft tends to just drop support for games after a single year, its nice to see a developer that is happy with a small dedicated playerbase.

Agreed. It's basically just a fighting game, though. I don't know how interesting of a pve mode they can add. Arcade is just modifiers to op bots. Story has potential but it seems like way more work vs how replayable it is.

Just literally copy MnB campaign, where you are gathering troops and developing a character. In battle the amount of units at your dissposal is based on how many units you have etc and the maps and objectives are adjusted accordingly for this. Like, I actually really like the concept and that every fighting has its own playstyle, but its just so limited in scope.

Unbalanced as fuck, from all characters, there are, at maximum, 5 that can beat all the rest with easy.
Some attacks doesnt hit your enemy, even if the blade crosses his body, some attacks can be easy parried, others are easily spameable.

Urgh i hate this game, it had everything to be one of my favorites.

Try it again. A lot of changes have happened and a major one that rebalances damage and speeds across all characters is coming up.

That really only matters in top level pvp. If you aren't in that bracket then everyone can be on par with everyone if you just play well.

last time i played was in january and i still got matched against lvl 3 bots. i already got my waifus at rep 8, i already got good screenshots of them, it was fun 700 hours i had with this game but i don't need to play it any more.

That is also dead. How do you play a fighting game with noone else playing. I dont even say this in mock I liked Absolver but it shouldnt have focused on pvp and rather just made a great singleplayer ala God Hand where you just make your own moves and collect them. The multiplayer meant there was a meta, which meant people got filtered, which meant noone was playing anymore but no lifers and then even they left. Its such a shame.

and the one uh during the last summer event where there was a sped up level 3 tiandi as the last encounter that both had fire attack and heal-on-damage, so if they landed a single light they healed to full. combine that with the inflated stats they got in pre-nerf arcade filtered the fuck outta me

Because the game is extremely shallow. The moment you git gud, the game becomes boring trash with garbage offensive mechanics. They only push out meaningful balance changes twice a year. And it's always small shit that doesn't fix the game.
