big TW fan but haven't bought any of the new once since TW Rome II because of aging PC. Do newer TW games handle multi threading better? Could I expect better performance with graphic setting adjusted accordingly in large battles? It's frustrating how my Rome II games become a slide show in any battle with more than 1 stack per side even on low settings.

I found the warhammer games ran fairly well, but Rome II and Attila ran like shit

But remaster dude!

>Rome II and Atilla ran like shit
Makes sense since they're essentially identical engines. I love historical TW so I'm not really interested in Warhammer. I'm more wondering if Britannia and Three kingdoms are optimized for multi cores better.

Quick, post your favorite RTS factions!

For me they are:
>Brotherhood of Nod in Command and Conquer
>Cybrans in Superme Commander
>Zerg in Starcraft
>Nazis in Company of Heroes
>Soviets in RA

What?

>freeware that the entire community agrees that it needs an overhaul
>The main dev is a Retro Turbo autist who managed to unfuck burnour paradise on PC, and is a Westwood fanboy to the point that he went even to hell to find the original assets and found even RA2 and TibSun original stuff intact and preserved.
>Dude managed to reunite all of westwood devs under petroglyph and even keep contact with KANE and the cast for a future C&C content.
>Managed to unite the entire Community.
>Managed to UnJUST Lemonsky and prove that blizzard is full of hacks who fucked them over with the art assets.
also friendly reminder that anime avatar fags are against the rules made by Saint MOOT of the Aussie hating!

Mark my words, Jimmy Boy is going to save EA.

It's like your faith isn't strong enough.

Do RTS campaigns actually teach you how to NOT play the game?

In most campaign maps you start in a small base with enemy units scattered all over the place. A scout or small group leaving to explore will get killed quickly, so you learn to hole up and amass a huge army before moving out. Almost every campaign map in Supcom1 can be beaten by turtling.

Then you try skirmish or online and get absolutely murdered. You pretty much need to re-learn how to play.

Is there a RTS campaign that prepares you to play online against other people?

Believe me brother, if I had the option of playing Nod outside of CNC games, I would.
I absolutely adore the brotherhood. I love their lore, I love their aesthetic and I love Kane.

Attached: mfw tiberium nod version.jpg (1162x850, 443.11K)

Aside from that I'm also buying it for the 4 hour never before seen b-roll footage.

It's not the same thing when you play OpenRA and it lacks game music and all the amazing cinematics.

>Is there a RTS campaign that prepares you to play online against other people?

Not really, because the task itself is pretty much impossible, because no AI is good enough to actually prepare you to fight against a real person that will try to constantly harass you etc, while also being fair (as in not seeing the whole map, having extra resources or tech advantage etc).

I prefer rts campaigns that focus on the story and worldbuilding and leave the multiplayer as it's own specialized thing instead of trying to make the campaign into a tutorial mode for the multiplayer.

Sure am. Planning on playing it with the old graphics. The new UI seems nice. That music though (and the redone EVA voice), sounds so fucking good.

Never got into that game. Something about the voxels really didn't sit well with me.

hands down my favorite CnC

Uhh, it's not good. It doesn't look good.

Sorry, but no faction beats MY WIFE FOR HIRE

I love the worldbuilding and aesthetics of Tibsun but the controls and interface of the game are just too outdated and clunky for me to be able to really enjoy the game.

Probably my favorite rts.

pls source me on this, I wanna laugh

i'm and I having fun.

It's a remaster. I agree with your point, but mixing remake and remaster is pretty relevant these days considering the industrywide (movies too apparently) boner for revisiting old games instead of making good new games.
Retard.

RA 3 had pretty good music and decent enough gameplay, though the co-op focus and unit ability gimmicks were kinda lame.

All C&C games have excellent source ports dude

rlyu good track. I quit tibsun twice in mission 4 or 5 because I hated the aesthetics and basically everything about it, but htis track is mp3'd, thx.

Why did SC2 fail so hard when it comes to music?

There is nothing in SC2 that even compares to the original game's tracks.

RUBBER SHOES IN LOTION
RUBBING SHOES IN MOTION
LOATHING SHOES ON POTION

Why make a new game if people are just going to call it shit? Remaking an old game that everyone loves is a much safer business decision.

I certainly don't mind having updated, hyper-polished versions of my old favorite games either.

> unit ability gimmicks
Does Uprising fix this? Or made it worse?

>ftw playing rts games troughout my teens rotted my brains to the point where whenever I worldbuild and do other sort of creative projects where I draw and design factions etc, I keep thinking of them as if they were RTS game factions, as in what sort of military units and tactics they utilize and so on.

I can't come up with plots or characters at all, yet I can come up with all of this autistic shit.

Also, pls rate and pick a faction.

Attached: mundus carnis faction designs.png (5540x1297, 1.76M)

It doesn't really change anything, it just adds in some new units, few of which are super op but it doesn't really matter because there is no multiplayer in Uprising anyways.

will it require origin scamware to be installed to play?

The issue is with the industry getting too big for it's own good. Attracted investors and then became about the bottom line instead of good games.
Remove investors and their demand for Fortnite-tier bux and you have a better industry. The only reason it's so full of retards now is because it got so big and became a good platform for people to push their shitty narratives onto others.
Beware success, I guess.

Petroglyph games is making Renegade 2. Looks like you actually get to build up your base.

>the entire community agrees that it needs an overhaul
???

When it comes to the Steam release, you will only need an EA account which you login to once.

Your art looks like Alien meets Wathammer 40k and they had a child. Fucking badass.

Rai-Khil Raiders.

>I certainly don't mind having updated, hyper-polished versions of my old favorite games either.
Yeah, I can get on board with this sentiment.
Still though, I wish people would make the distinction between remake and remaster more. It's half the reason we see so many shitty FF7R threads up these days.

RA3 xpac challenge mode

Not if you get it through steam.

Thanks m8. I have been fan of both since my teens so they obviously have inspired my sense of what I find cool.

>Unfortunately, we were not quite able to meet our launch goal for January, but we are not far off

Attached: 20200308A.png (1920x830, 2.1M)

how am I gonna login into the EA account if I dont have origin installed?
will I do it from inside the game?

>Star Wars shit

Get him out of here.

You should try to do something with it. At least more arts with these characters.

>Petroglyph games is making Renegade 2
WHAT???

Why did they never use that CGI art for the sidebar?

Probably. That's how they did it with the original mass effect.

Was the baron inspired by Harkonnen ?
it's very cool I love it - I wish I was this creative

>steamcucks pretending their DRM isn't spyware and bloatware

You will probably be prompted to visit EA's home page to register an EA account on their website.

It's a spiritual successor. It looks cartoony as hell. Don't get excited. It's more fortnite than renegade.

I am slowly trying to make a decent sort of "proof of concept" document with the worldbuilding and art to give the basic gist of this setting of mine that I could use to present the setting to other people.

oh no someone knows about my porn folder

I know that feeling, as a kid I played too many 2D platformers on PC and that made any art I did after be basically a platformer for several years
I didn't keep up with my art though yours looks great. I'd pick the Viam Cartel, gimme dem poisons and drugs

That's what I had to do for the Xbox Live account needed for Halo MCC, so probably something like that

Yeah, he was. I was tempted to draw him floating via some sort of weird gas sacks or something but I figured it would be too on the nose.

Good luck, user. You have a potential.

Oh, that's a shame.
One of the best aspects of CnC was the dark atmosphere and how seriously the threat of tiberium was treated, especially in Tiberian Sun.
I wish that the Tiberian universe was explored more.

Attached: tiberium vidya.jpg (1856x1300, 680.19K)

>being this retarded

To be fair, it's quite early days. Just wait and see how it turns out. No point assuming the worst yet.

Reminder: openra.net/

>accepting steam DRM because you spent money on it
such hilarious cuckoldry

Reminder that Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath are the last two good main-line C&C games. The browser games, Rivals and that fucking atrocity, the franchise killer that is Tiberium Twilight NEVER HAPPENED.

>I know that feeling, as a kid I played too many 2D platformers on PC and that made any art I did after be basically a platformer for several years
I did same sort of thing lol, after I played that Jurassic Park 3 promotional game, Dino Defender I think was it's name. I designed multiple levels for that game just on paper as a wee lad.

>I didn't keep up with my art though yours looks great. I'd pick the Viam Cartel, gimme dem poisons and drugs
Thanks. "Gameplay" wise I kinda envision Viam as fast, and kinda hit and run tactic focused faction with tons of ways of buffing their own dudes via drugs, and debuffing the enemies via toxins, but both effects would only be brief so you'd have to time your attacks properly to get the most use of the buffs and the debuffs.

C&C remastered Art is being made by LemonSky, and Lemon Sky themselves came up and stated that its ALL blizzard's fault and they are shifting the blame to when, when all they did was the models SENT by the art team who didn't wanted them using Samwize's original Art or even remake the Cutscenes using the original art.

Also that the Nu art team is this incarnate

Attached: well its fubar for Reforged.jpg (256x256, 14.81K)

Thanks man.

It's not an issue for me.
Must be a special kind of retard to have it cause an issue for you. You just upgraded from banging rocks together or something?
Also, that first guy asked if origin was necessary. Not sure why you brought up steam being drm. Not even relevant.
Retard.

Getting into RTS games again. Someone please recommend a game with an amazing singleplayer campaign. I'm planning to get Homeworld soon, is there any other just as good?

I could never get on with some of the new mechanics, things like needing to concrete your whole base (unless you like being raped by flame tanks), or how power stations and defensive structures now had their own "modular" elements

I'd be willing to give it another chance, but I get the feeling that of all the C&C games, that might be the least likely to have a good source port (mostly due to the voxels, and it not being as popular as the others)

Reminder that TA is essentially Transformers, but without the transformation gimmicks and more grim. I mean CORE is so bad they make Decepticons look like Autobots.

Not bad, but the micro in places that shouldn't be and stupid-ass forced co-op kinda ruins it.
