Because there is nothing positive about censorship. By it's definition it is the removal or concealment of content, aka less stuff then before.

Since their is no reason to like it, it then stands to reason that people would only get mad at it and increasingly so depending on temperament.

That's the thing. It starts off as "pretty fucking minor" and it only gets worse from then on. I had no issue with Bravely Default because what changes made were strictly cosmetic. Then Second came out and not only were outfits removed, but so were alternate sidestory endings and even art in the art book. At least Nintendo reigned in their localization teams, but I still fear for what they'll do to Default II.
