I've always said that Midgar is probably the best part of FF7 and after you leave shit just rolls downhill. But part of the reason it's so good is that it doesn't overstay its fucking welcome. As for myself im prepared to micro the characters heavily and do strategies rather tham spam square. Dont care if its necessary or not, i just want to have fun and it feels so fucking good to shred the sweeper fast enough with proper strategy

Yeah a lot of the fun so far has been figuring out how to play most efficiently. There was one early side quest miniboss that i couldnt figure out the strat for and ended up unga bungaing through it instead, wasting several phoenix downs. Feels bad. I might be mistaken but think you can re-do bosses and chapters whenever you like, so going back and doing the fights like a non-scrub is at least easy to do
