>no brewster/cafe >tons of NPCs cut or relegated to cameos >bunny day lasts two whole weeks enjoy not being able to do anything but that >tools break, no way to know when they will break >why do cedar trees drop hardwood? >hope you like EGGS, HERE CRAFT ALL THE EGG ITEMS HOPE YOU FIND EM oh you want to know how many there are and if you are done? too bad! tee hee >no paintings to hang in your crib >no interactable musical instruments for your house >no fucking GYROIDS
As my first animal crossing, there's plenty of frustrating stuffs. >Tools break, it's fun the first few times, just troublesome and annoying afterwards. Solution would be allowing you to make one unbreakable tools late game >Didn't even teach you some of the basic stuffs, making you waste your time >such as hitting the rocks without eating fruit, when forgot which raccoon taught you to eat fruit to smash rocks. >Or that you can actually plant money tree More dialogues teaching you about those would be great, but no, all these information require you to look online. >Online Multiplayer is a joke, everytime someone join, it takes you a few minutes just to load, and then another join, another minute, another join, and another minute. >Horrible Egg Events that's gonna lasts for 12 days. The horror. >repetitive fish/insects, keep getting the same fish again and again, it's ruining people's experience. The RNG seems to be all fucked.
Landon Phillips
Yeah I didn't really expect AC fans to be like this, it's such a slow and calming game that you'd figure they would be the agreeable sorts.
Liam Sullivan
Tough shit. Flick was at my island yeatersay
Ryder Bennett
Cut content is datamined in games all the time That in no way means it'll be readded
Asher Johnson
besides the fact it only showed up in update 1.1 and wasn't in 1.0 at all? sure
Thomas Richardson
I won't call it shit just yet, but New Leaf was definitely better
Easton Jackson
i think people are just tired of bitching about sword and shield so they need something new to slam.
Kayden Cruz
They added the name data for the brewster and gyroid stuff in the 1.1 update though?
Lucas Ramirez
The way I see it, the degree of customization allowed through island infrastructure is enough to balance out a majority of these smaller issues (missing gyroids, no cafe, no art gallery, etc.), some of which have already been semi-confirmed through datamining. Imagine going back to previous games with indoor furniture restrictions and permanent geography layouts.
Of course, this doesn't justify what is essentially cutting the list of activities in half. Why the fuck does a game about island living exclude wetsuit diving and tropical fruits at release? Why does such a perfect museum layout exclude one of it's biggest branches from previous titles? The rest of the game hinges on what becomes implemented through future updates, and it's not exactly a reassuring business module, especially with Nintendo at the helm.
ok I'll bite, what makes this one better than literally any other including the gamecube release?
Levi Nguyen
>it was datamined >actually thinking this means it comes out later and wasn't just scrapped during development thats just being delusional. it MIGHT come, but being in the files is no guarantee
Nathaniel Campbell
Tied with GCN, due to GCN having better and more varied villager personalities. But yeah, those two are still king.
Juan Ross
While admittedly I have been having a lot of fun with the game, there are still a few glaring issues that could easily be fixed. >mass crafting >purchase option in bulk for nook miles purchases and nook shopping purchases, along with a higher cap to purchasing nook miles items >shorten the length of bunny day or give an option to disable the eggs >the huge lack furniture options for your home >make slopes go into the cliff instead of sticking out >dont force the player to sit through the same music for the first 5-6 days in a row >shorten the ridiculously long tutorial While the lack of specific NPCs and buildings bother me, I also feel like that only really affects TTers who cant just unlock everything in a day or two. That being said, I would have really liked a proper update roadmap so we actually have an idea of when things are coming aside from holidays.
Jace Rivera
...
Henry King
>no holidays >the least amount of activities compared to other games No.
Alexander Thomas
who gives a shit about club LOL
Christopher Phillips
>8 villagers >tiny village >weak holidays >small screen >visual aged like turnips I love the hourly songs but no.
Nathan Ross
so where are all the microtransactions that Yas Forums shitposted about for weeks?
Levi Wilson
Are there any new fish this season? It's difficult to tell when my waterways are filled with nothing but Zipper's fucking eggs.
It's light on the ground when it comes to content, especially considering what was available in previous iterations. But I'm wholly expecting a lot of content to be reintroduced over the coming year or two, as Nintendo have embraced the frequent-update approach, and apparently the Splatoon team - who did just that with both the relevant titles - are mucked into the elbows on it. A bugfix came out this morning, the second update since launch (third, if you counted the day one update), plus there's content due as we go further into April.
I've enjoyed it so far, but I'm curious as to what comes next.
yeah but the way they are handling egg day by having 12 days of eggs and needing to craft like 64 fucking items for the prize is absurd and makes me extremely worried about the future of this game
Jose Phillips
Shit like this makes me think they've changed the expectations of the player to play longer and for longer sessions. In previous games if you played too much the villagers would start commenting on how tired you were and ask you to take a break. If you still didn't take a break you would start tripping. The previous games penalized you for playing too much. Now with tools breaking, requiring the player to gather materials and craft new ones all the time, it seems they want you to play longer. Tools breaking is just filler content since there's no way to "lose" the game.
I'm just waiting to see the microtransactions come up. We will see a DIY recipe that requires rare or time-gated items and then you can outright buy the item on a cash shop. It's probably coming.
Jackson Morales
It's definitely a mixed message. Such a large number of items needing to be crafted suggests that Nintendo is trying to encourage people to let go, and come back to crafting the remaining lot next year (or trade with friends) - but the 12 days in a row that the event goes on for suggests that this is like a Splatfest, a big event that goes on a while and then doesn't come back (it will definitely come back next year, but will the game get as much support then, if this much focus is put into a single iteration of it?). Only time will tell at this point. I think, in three months' time, we'll have our answer.
Mason Torres
Make an edit of this where every fish is Egg
Daniel Phillips
Update maybe? Welcome Amiibo introduced a lot of things and that was technically free DLC.
Jose Rogers
>no interactable musical instruments for your house Blatantly false. I have a saxophone and that shit works just like all the other games.
Camden Moore
havent seen any yet and it's making me salty, I always had a music room in my old games and so far nothing... also always had an attic full of gyroids
fuck nintendo :(
Caleb Miller
Can you equip instruments other than the ocarina like they're tools then?
William Martinez
Seriously, though. Who thought the egg hunt needed to last 12 goddamn days? It's really tempting me to time travel because of how bad it is.
Also, is there any point to the cherry blossom petals? I've gathered a bunch thinking I'll eventually get a recipe but no dice.
Christopher Sanchez
>i havent seen any of this yet but the ocarina is one of the first recipes you unlock
*sniff* wait... is that a false flagging snoygger I smell?
Levi King
There's a ton of new furniture in this game, so yeah it's gonna be harder to find things you specifically want. I'm still looking for Modern furniture.
Sebastian Young
I already have all those. Giv more fish, Nintendo.
Juan Morgan
>is there any point to the cherry blossom petals just keep gathering them and you'll eventually learn a DIY recipe
Liam Butler
I'm close to 50 by now if I haven't reached it already, though. How many do they want?
Parker Jackson
how many sakura recipes are there? I got one for flooring before I ever even caught one.. I think it was in a bottle
Christian Gonzalez
>the ocarina is one of the first recipes you unlock how? ive been collecting shells like crazy and never popped up. the recipes that appear are random dude what the fuck do you mean "one of the first"
I made a finger piano but it won't even let me play it
Gabriel Miller
flute, ocarina, and tamborine are all equippable instruments. Not sure if there's others, but those are the recipes I've found so far.
Isaiah Diaz
i made a finger piano and i can't equip it, it's fucking lame.. where did you get the recipes for those, user?
Ryan Jackson
>now that the dust has settled ... The dust isn't going to settle for at least one year, dumb shitposter.
John Jenkins
>posting the same shitpost Get over it, cuck.
Samuel Anderson
one was gifted to me by some user online, the other was from a random balloon drop. Toy piano if a furniture instrument, too big to carry in your hands.
Carson Bell
I don't know, it just randomly said "hey I have an idea for a DIY recipe"
no idea sorry
Landon Collins
Hopes and dreams are why we come to Yas Forums user.
Chase Wood
I do you fuckin fag
William Reyes
>no interactable musical instruments for your house Why are you lying?
Benjamin Smith
>In previous games if you played too much the villagers would start commenting on how tired you were and ask you to take a break Sounds like something New Leaf added since at least Wild World has none of that and several other 3DS games did something similar.
This Why would people post lies on the internet???
Elijah Bell
AC was always shit.
Noah Hill
You have to get good at the game
Justin Thompson
How fucking DARE you criticize a game I bought, you bastard!!
Adam Sanders
Who gives a shit about gyroids
Nolan Walker
Jeweled beetle is missing from that list. You can catch it on tree stumps.
Cameron Brown
he's the rescue service
Easton Anderson
Resetti is shit
Elijah Martinez
Does flick only come to your island in the evening/night or does he come in the morning? i know he leaves at the next 5am. I have a huge stack of bugs waiting to sell to him hoping he comes before sunday. if not ill just have to sell them normally so i can get my stalnks but i also want taxidermy so how do i get this nigga to come
Kayden Kelly
Ocarina is made from mud, not shells. And I had it from the get go myself. Have you tried buying the basic recipe set?
Nolan Lewis
fuck you nigger
Adrian Hill
Fuck if I know how it works. The little fag is in my town today though I don't have shit to sell.
Ayden Brooks
Fuck you and your shitty mole
Christian Gonzalez
So we essentially have two events playing at once?
Gavin Moore
i fished like 3 rods worth of fishing this morning and i did not get a clownfish, surgeonfish, guppy, or tetra. Also never saw anything on trees last night when i was turtle hunting, unless they blend in super well or something
Dominic Green
very amusing how every shitposter for this game seems to be borderline retarded, not understanding even the most basic of concepts.
Ayden Smith
Nah kys
Ayden Thompson
Yup Hourly music fucking sucks. 3AM one is absolute garbage tier. Crafting system is an abomination that should never have been in an Animal Crossing game Fish and bug text is the worst it's ever been
