I tried booting up the game today. Tried connecting to casual servers a total of 20 times, every single one of them had a script kiddie crash the server.
Valve and the TFteam should be ashamed, even the worst game devs in the world know when to admit they fucked up.
More than half the games I got into last night had hackers.

I know what that's like, there are some fun matches to be had if you keep trying but unfortunately this game is neglected and the only thing keeping it alive is the cancer that killed it in the first place
TF2 is something that's gotten me through some of the worst times in my life with some basic fun. I wouldn't want to take that fun away from somebody else
I have not played in 5 years i have returned last week was having fun but last 2 days there were so many lag bots its unbelivable.
I've seen this happen 4 or 5 times today.
Hopefully Valve does fucking anything regarding TF2 in the near future.
Even if they do absolutely nothing, they should at least say anything. Right now the communication policy is absolutely stupid.

It's one guys army of cheating bots. He has been doing this for MONTHS on EU servers but it just started on NA servers a few days ago.
Now when you try to kick the bot, it crashes the entire server. The bot is always named [VALVE]Niggerkiller. If you see it join, you may as well leave since the server is essentially dead.
how does he get away with this? and what does he do that crashes the server?

probably sends corrupt packets and it crashes from that exploit the same way it always has.
basic DDos. big script sends too many packets at once. CSGO had this exploit fixed in 2016, but nothing for TF2.
I can't even run Tf2. My frames will drop to 50-60 in the middle of a fight.
That's funny. Just looked today and there were a grand total of 12 players over 3 servers who were playing an official TF2 map that wasn't ctf or Hightower.
unironically this, the death of TF2 isn't hacker fags, it's the fact that apparently creating a server is a lost art. Despite the fact that we HAD to do that in the 1990s and mid 2000's, it somehow became a lost art.
I'm guessing it's a DDoS. See top right, the server starts lagging lik crazy then it just shuts down. These bots seem to be on every fucking casual server.

I do it because Casual is unenjoyable trash and so no one should play it. Not my fault Valve killed community servers with Quickplay first and then Casual later dealt the finishing blow.

Play servers that arent 24/7 same map. Creator.tf are a big example.
