I was 10 hours in to this game, was at the second world (tiny soldiers). Didnt get a single boss fight or interesting enemy. Got so fucking bored i put the game down.

You start getting bosses around this time with weird gimmicks so I guess you left before it got anywhere good.

I was 10 hours in and almost finished the second world. Nothing happens in the fucking game, the characters are so boring dronya has literaly 0 threats and no conflict.
The gimmicks with the dungeon would be fun if it led to anithing.
There characters all feel the same honestly, people touted the ability to customize minions but its so small.
Are there any class specific abilities?
I kept finding the same contracts with the same standard abilities.

I'm not saying play it right now, but do play TWEWY before DSes start breaking for good. That is an amazing, unique game that takes advantage of every part of the DS, meaning it doesn't emulate well and none of the ports really "work."

Play Ys Felghana or Origin or VIII.

Not really played JRPGs for years but I remember there being a few I really enjoyed playing as a young teen.

There's also another one I played on 360 but I can't remember the fucking name. All I remember is that you started out in some kind of academy where you learned the battle system, and at some point you had to either go through or escape from a prison. I remember it pissing me off because there were random encounters every 3 fucking steps but I also remember enjoying the game overall.

I really haven't played many JRPGs though so my taste may suck.
