The game is the Street Fighter 2 of 3D Platformers.
I demand that Ubisoft make a Switch port, since it's long overdue for yet another rerelease.

Ubisoft committed a crime in not rereleasing this game on every console like they used to.
>Rayman 2 thread
Tell me your favouritie level and why it was the one where you were chased by the pirate ship
>no Rayman HD Collection
It hurts bros
Actually its the graveyard level.
>over 9 years
Almost 21 years to be precise.
Rayman 2 is a fucking masterpiece
The final release was on the 3DS as a launch title. Before that, it was ported on almost EVERYTHING after its initial launch on N64 and PC, including the PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, smartphones, and DS.
>The game is the Street Fighter 2 of 3D Platformers
because it was ported everywhere, right?
Holy shit.
>Look up list of platforms
HOLY SHIT. Didn't know or saw this.
Which is why I demand Ubisoft to rerelease it on Switch, and make 4K versions of it on Xbox Series X and PS5.
which was that version on sony hardware that had extra areas in place of the level select?
Was it good?
>rayman 3 gets a HD port
>Fucking revolution doesn't
Really feeling a playthrough, gonna just have to emulate
At this point they should make a HD trilogy for the Switch instead.
Watch as everyone hates it and whines about it, all because they will never finish Rayman 1.
it's not exactly ports though. ps1 version for example was made by different studio. it wasn't just ported over
Is that better than the Dreamcast version? I rented it years and years ago as a kid. It's like the only version of Rayman 2 I haven't finished.
Come back to us, Michel
If they make a HD port should it be based on the Revolution PS2 version, the original N64 game or the Dreamcast one?
Or perhaps go all N.Sane Trilogy and make a 1:1 HD remake?
Please make a new Rayman game Michel :(
Friendly reminder if you don't think revolution is the best version of 2 then you are a retard
This is Yas Forums. EVERYONE is a retard.
Revolution improved upon everything except framerate, so it's pretty obvious which one deserves a port more.
As a kid the lava level with the plum was my least favorite. Nowadays i think it's the best one.
Rayman was never good
it's been OVER 9 THOUSAND YEARS since Rayman 2
the ps1 port is fucking impressive.
t. pleb filtered by rayman 1
the dreamcast version is the real version that Ancel worked on.
Rayman Legends is free on uplay for a few days bros.
I'm sure we'll see a PS5 version because traditionally Ubisoft uses the game to show off the capabilities of underpowered consoles
yea but we here in rayman thread already played it. right?
Based as fuck thread, you're all patricians in my eyes
I want a remaster of TGE and Hoodlum Havoc. Also a new 3D Rayman game wouldn't hurt.
Both Origins and Legends on Vita for me.
I didn't have a memory card and I was also bad, so the swamp level was my favorite. I did eventually beat it, but my god
yup
>See you in Rayman 4!
hearing that back then, never suspecting that it would never come ; ;
I didn't have a favourite but lemme tell ya now the sanctuary of rock and lava was an absolute nigger.
I just replayed rayman 2 and that definitely was the funniest level. But bayou was the most atmospheric
"All this happiness in the beginning of the game. Something bad is gonna happen. I know it."
Best Rayman game to this day
Beneath the 3rd sanctuary / the 3rd sanctuary. Revolution makes them basically one level, and it's better for it.
It is. Revolutions hub makes it easily the definitive version.
Rayman 2 had fantastic atmosphere, while 3 had more memorable locations and setpieces in my opinion.
I doubt it would take Ubisoft a large amount of resources to remake these games (a handdrawn Rayman 1 would be fucking great as well). I don't think Rayman 4 will be happening anytime soon, so they could at the very least revive these classics. Remake or reimaging, either would be great.
There's a fan remake/remaster that looks really nice.

As for favorite level, The Cave of Bad Dreams.
Today I will remind them.
>Hoodlum Havoc remaster
I'd be very happy if that ever happens
the spooky one
Cannot get analog support to work on the pc ver. without the game crashing. I've had it work a few times and then randomly start fucking up and crashing on me so I just gave up. Game still plays great on a dpad tho
More like Rayman 2 is the Resident Evil 4 of 3D platformers.
I know rayman 3 is most of the time a lesser appreciated game but man I've had fun with that one honestly just as much as the others
So tell me Yas Forums, is the 3DS port good? I haven't played Rayman 2 since the N64 days and I really feel like giving it a new playthrough.
I just stick with the Dreamcast version.
Framerate sucks but if you have a hacked N3DS maybe it runs better. Also I think there's some more bugs.
How good is this game?
Because Im playing Rayman Legends and its boring and for 7 year olds and idk why Rayman is shilled
Typical N64 3D linear platformer. Pretty easy but also very polished with plenty of gimmicks to keep it interesting. Got ported a ton of times with mixed results.
It's very good, but considering your thoughts on Legends it's probably not DARK, GRITTY and EDGY enough.
You're thinking of the PS1 port I believe, which was MISSING entire chunks of levels and had a pre-rendered intro cutscene.
>that cover
WHAT WERE THEY THINKIN
no way it had to be PS2 at least
Rayman Revolutions on ps2
No, the ps1 version is butchered
>missing levels
>awful voice acting
>ruined final boss
