Risk of Rain
>finally making progress on Monsoon runs to unlock Artifacts
Guess throwing myself at the brick wall is starting to work.
That's really the only way to get good. Congrats user on sticking with it instead of whining the game is too hard like the bunch of faggot casuals in these threads do.
can someone explain why the fuck they insist on pushing garbage new reds instead of fixing the existing ones that have been shit since launch?
I mean, I already have all Masteries (-Engi) so I have no excuse to be a drizzlet.
hey, desk plant might not be clover tier good but its a very fun item
same goes for squid turrets
more items = more content = better game
it's utter garbage for a red, it would be a "meh" green
and speaking of reds and greens
they should make death mark a red item that thing is way too fucking good especially with how its another +50% damage boost on each stack
the item itself is cool tho, it even buffs chronobauble by simply existing
just noticed steam tells your friends what difficulty you're playing on, that's brutal
>Play as any number of characters
>Do fine
>Play Artificer
>Murdered horribly
that item is way to good to be a green
how? tons of greens are way, way better
>uses fucking emojis instead of text
Drizzle is for easy effortless unlock runs
Rainstorm is for fun
Monsoon is for unlocking masteries/brainstalks and pretending you're hardcore
The issue with desk plant is that it's countered by malachite enemies, once you're getting a good number of malachites the entire floor near a boss is usually covered in their spikes making the plants useless.
Correct Monsoon is best for multiplayer though
>Plant
>Better than ATG, wisp, scythe, feather, or ukelele
Monsoon is fun bow that the glass artifact exists, just like ror1. Now they just need to add my main the sniper so I can strap 200 crowbars to my body and 1-shot everything.
the amount of plants that actually show up is pretty crazy making running around just free healing. as a green that would be crazy good.
this is the only thing that stops it and makes it a meh red item. malachite are just shitty
yes it is better than those items for completely separate reasons. it's proc rate is insane and makes running around a lot safer than normal.
I mostly play with my shitter friends so I stay on rainstorm when playing with them
If everyone's competent I'd imagine rainstorm would be too easy
monsoon doesn't make the game harder, just more tedious.
>just free healing
"free" healing that takes up a spot in the red roster and is honestly shit compared to tons of green items. 5% is fucking pathetic, glasses and a scythe does better work and that's just passively doing it's job
More garbage items != better game
lol how does it not make it harder? it literally makes the difficulty go up faster, that's like saying drizzle doesn't make it easier (if you ignore the armor boost)
I don't think it's fun either but it's definitely harder
I play rainstorm solo but some of my friends are way better than me so Monsoon is more fun in multiplayer for me
Luckily with Command you can just ignore all the "shitty" items in the game and just guarantee you get god-runs all the time if that's how you want to play.
There has to be less-than-ideal items for the core gameplay loop to stay fresh past your first run.
>not unlocking things exclusively on Monsoon
Fucking embarassing, user.
Sure enemies do more health and more damage, but with the way the game is designed that doesn't really make them much more dangerous.
Yeah it's not like people played RoR1 with command for literal years because it was fun
I know I can, what's your fucking point? I'm saying it's a shit red, that's it. it's not just "less-than-ideal", it's genuinely trash
By the time you get to the point where Plant starts shitting out AoEs, you should have enough crit, scythes, topaz, and whatever that you'll instantly heal up to full the moment you get it—and that standing still for even one second means death.
Plant is only good if you get it before your first loop as you'll be able to facetank pretty much anything with it.
>Death
>Chaos
>Vengeance
The only fun way to play
I haven’t unlocked the spite artifact yet. Are funballs everything I ever dreamed that they could be?
>Sure enemies do more health and more damage
>that doesn't really make them much more dangerous
dude what the fuck. staying ahead of how hard enemies hit and how much they can take is literally the difficulty of the game
I'd have a hard time saying it's worse than something like Frost Relic, Dio's, or Headstompers
it's about the same tier for me. I'd much rather they just changed the ones you mentioned instead of making a new one
also frost is decent on merc, but I know that's very situational
Any artifact host ?
>playing all day
>only found the tablets in the winter base, in the swamp and in the desert
where the fuck are the other 12
Look harder. 10 of them are hidden around most of the other stages you didn't mention.
that will most likely be a very long run. 20stages got to be done
I just unlocked the Huntress new skill by accident.
I had swarm on, so a glaive killed 6 monsters instantly. Bet it's even easier with glass+swarm.
dio makes engineer turrets literally immortal
i did, there's literally 3 replies in your post, he's only referring to the bottom 2 because those are the ones you accused him of samefagging with. there are 3 replies:
>[1] the one you replied to him with
>[2] the first one you're linking his supposed samefagging to
>[3] the second one you're linking his supposed samefagging to
if there's this many people being confused by the way you decided to describe your shit, chances are you did a poor job of it
And the wisp one too.
can a stage have more than 1?
Vote Everyone from RoR1 to come back.
They're pretty fun, not as many spawn as in one but they are bigger. They definitely live up to 1's though.
all of those are good on specific characters though, plant is just aids on everyone
>totally legitimate way of unlocking items isn't okay because i say so
ok mister anonymous
Is there a list of how to unlock all the new stuff yet?
Does Death Mark require 4 different debuffs to trigger?
Stacking bleed didn't seem to do anything.
All that's really doing is letting you skip the cooldown, it's on the same level as bandolier.
Almost every stage has a unique tablet in it somewhere. There are two that don't, one technically has two associated with it and another two technically share one.
Remember to check the Hidden Realms as well.
just look behind shit and on the setting screen
is it just me or is merc by far the most satisfying to play?
also i will never get the mastery for MUL-T because i hate playing him and he's garbage
man I've had to play drizzle/rainstorm for unlocks with my friends wife and I don't get how anyone enjoys it, the game is so boring on those difficulties compared to monsoon
Let the drama from the last thread die, user. No need to bring it into this thread aswell.
Death mark requires four unique debuffs.
If you're talking about the artifacts, i got a list of the codes.
Yes, you need 4 unique debuffs. I think outside of Acrid and Artificer, the only way to consistently trigger its effect is with Daggers, Chronobauble, Stun Grenades and Shattering Justice. Gasoline works as well but obviously that requires other monsters to die nearby.
Dio's and Relic are mid-tier at best on certain characters, and garbage on everyone else.
Headstompers is garbage on everyone.
Happiest mask could also count too, especially if it spawns a dunestrider.
From the last thread, Chaos PvP sounds really fun. The game actually does have all the ingredients for a Battle Royale mode as well thinking about it. Also, preemptive PvP ratings.
>Commando
Solid as long as he can stay away, however does not have the tools to stay away. His Shotgun however can probably instagib most other characters at super close range.
>Huntress
Auto lock on tracking will make her an utter bitch. Combined with high powered Ballista snipes and her blinks, she is a real threat. However, I don't know if her targeting works on other players in Chaos mode. Somebody here probably does though.
>Mul-T
Bottom tier broad side of a barn that will get shot up super fast. Short range options are too short range, his long range option is too poor for DPS. His Shift will save him briefly, but only briefly.
>Engineer
Thermal Harpoons make him a threat from long range, but if you can avoid his turrets and mines, he himself is very little threat. Playing him will be really tactical and only possible on larger maps where he can setup.
>Mercenary
Will fuck you up the moment he gets close.
>Artificer
All projectiles have travel time. Flamethrower and Ion Surge are super short range. Super bottom tier.
>Rex
Overpowered if his leech seed actually roots other players. Has a spammy M1, but projectiles are slow. Mortar spam will however fuck most things. Main issues are being slow, big, and damaging to their own health.
>Loader
Can get the fuck anywhere they want, can fuck with people with their grapple. May possibly regenerate faster than others can hurt them if constantly punching. Pylon will be incredibly annoying to opponents. May have trouble dealing consistent damage.
>Acrid
Trash since poison is incredibly less useful in fast-paced pvp where actual real people will hunt you down if you try to poison and run.
>Doing Trial of Frailty with glass on
>Complete the fight and go to grab the artifact
>Fall down into the abyss and die
Well, gonna kys myself now.
>Everybody hates Hand d
>Everybody hate bandit
HAHAHA ENJOY YOUR NEVER EVERS
chrono bauble and shattering justice support it well with only having to rely on two others that proc
This, Hopoo being a lazy faggot and using a poll as an excuse to not put everyone back in is lame as fuck.
>"Just because they don't win the poll doesn't mean they'll never make it in ;)"
>"We plan on adding post-launch content :^)"
We'll probably get 1, maybe 2 more characters after launch, a couple new abilities, and some half-assed artifacts before he drops development completely, assuming he doesn't go full hooknose and start charging for DLC. Fucker sold like 4 million copies on week one or whatever, he certainly has the time and money to add all the fan favorites back in, and squeeze in his new garbo OCs as well.
Was razorwire always a green?
HOST WHEN
Bandit is already fully playable and HAN-D might be aswell in the future.
DIO's are great on engineer since they give his turrets the staying power they need in later loops
Relic is literally free damage on characters with melee, a huge DPS boost for little effort
Headstompers are good for Arti and Loader, they do decent damage at any stage of the game
Happiest Mask is some straight trash tho
aight boys, modfag from last thread.
ideas on how to translate enforcer from ror1 into ror2?
goddammit hopoo is good at hiding shit
