>Seraphites are break offs from fireflies who ‘clipped their wings’[/spoilers] >They abduct the immune to repopulate with them >There’s a sad scene where Ellie finds a bunch of raped and abused women locked in a cell >Also a baby that she helps rescue >Joel captures a Seraphite and tortures him >When he realises they’re ex-fireflies and Ellie has gone on revenge mission he goes after her to protect her from truth and bury it >Ellie gets bit again and starts showing symptoms >She also finds out truth of what Joel did >They fight but get separated and have to run for their lives[/spoilers] >Joel thinking Ellie is gonna turn and depressed contemplates suicide >It cuts to black with him holding a gun to his head >Final chapter is Ellie trying to come to terms with what’s happening to her >She finds the house from the original teaser trailer >Ends with her picking up guitar and playing it looking like she’s about to die >After credits is altered teaser, Joel still walks in >Ellie looks fine >Not sure whether she’s imagining things on death bed >Player realises final chapter was played out in Ellie’s delusional head >Leaves audience hanging There will be a LoU3 but the point is to leave us hanging thinking Ellie is gonna turn infected or die and Joel killed himself out of guilt and desperation
What an unnecessary sequel. It's all just setup with no payoff, this is what you learn to avoid first day in literary class. Oh well, it doesn't matter, who cared about integrity when you can fill your wallet with half-assed effort.
