Just got the game early. It's actually pretty fun, but also super linear. The combat is fun, but most of the game comprises of hallways filled with enemies, which can get repetitive. The game looks and sounds amazing though. Haven't finished it yet, but it's not as bad as Yas Forums is making it out to be.

SE is going to milk the shit out of this and they will finally succeed with selling everything as a trilogy. They failed with DeusEx MD, Hitman was kind of a success but it's not really story-driven

There will be at minimum four parts. The splitting points of the story and content don't make sense otherwise. In addition if they keep the expansion that they gave Midgar consistent for the rest of the setting, there will be seven parts.

No. At most there will be 3 parts, with part 2 ending at the end of disc 1.

Well you don't have to worry, they definitely won't expand the rest equally, because the public will lose interest by the third part of this project no matter what they do, so they know it would be a financial suicide to go for such an endeavor even if they claim they don't know how many parts there will be, they know that much.

But if they kept the scale, the parts would be:
1: Midgar
2: Kalm - Boat
3: Costa del Sol - Cosmo Canyon
4: Nibelheim - Holzoff's Cabin [Aerith's death has to be in the middle of an episode to get the same effect. (Well,if she dies here anyway.)]
5. Gaea's Cliff - Cloud's subconscious
6. Underwater reactor - Parachute to Midgar
7. Midgar - Ending

2. Kalm - Nibelheim (Its start is its end, it's poetic and shit.)
3. Rocket Town - Escaping Junon
4. Controlling Tifa - Ending
