Game has poison and bleed

>they stack

or worse, insignificantly different
>poison brings you to 1 health, can't kill you by itself
>bleed can kill you

How would you make them different? Should poison or bleed count as antiheal?

>Game has poison
>Bleed cures it

>game has coofing
>have a chance of losing the ability to coof randomly
ITS NOT FAIR BROS

This
Not .

Saying “bleeding and poison do the same thing”, is like saying “stabbing somebody and shooting somebody is the same thing because they both get hurt and/or die”. I wouldn’t expect a Wojackoff to understand a point without replying with a shitpost though.

Poison inflicts random status ailments and bleed is DoT.

>poison is non-lethal

but people die all the time from poison

What the fuck are you even saying? In a majority of games both poison and bleed is just a DoT

poison should lower stats, damage should slowly increase as it remains untreated but overall is a weak dot. can't stack. is hard to treat.

bleed is a dot that deals a percentage of damage dealt that inflicted the status. can stack. is easy to heal

which game?

most games that have them have some difference; one is proportional, bleed can't be cured, bleed does more dmg when you move, poison can stack bleed cant, etc.

Yes, and in a majority of games, shooting and stabbing is just a means to an end to killing somebody. What is your point?

Darkest Dungeon has bleed and blight, with the only difference being who can cause it and resistances. Overall, because undead have lots of bleed resist and are most uncommon, blight is superior.

Who the fuck is dying from poison in 2020?

>poison and venom are treated as the same thing

Attached: 1584332564869.jpg (640x780, 39.27K)

>poison reduces in intensity over time
>venom gets worse over time

Shooting and stabbing are actions
Poison and bleed are results

>Acknowledging autism
You must be new here, posts like that are just here to argue

Plenty of people really, it's actually still quite the threat for idiot children, especially ones who can't read.

Sweet mother of Stick of truth

bleeding could make you woozy, like give you less accuracy or something.
poison is too boring to actually use nowadays.

>poison and burning
>do the same thing
>enemy inflicts both

Attached: MHW-Pink_Rathian_Render_001.png (755x534, 454.89K)

poison was invented to give players a sense of urgency in using healing items
they fucked up when they decided to create a separate item to heal the poison status

the way it should be is that regular healing potions cure poison so now, if you get poisoned at full or close to full HP, you either choose to burn a potion to get rid of it or do you risk letting your HP go low enough and running into enemies to maximize the heal of the potion?

Would a weapon with a poison effect be called a Poison _____ or Venomous _____?

>game has poison, bleed, and plague
>they do the same thing
>they all stack
>there is a weapon inflicts all of them at once

Attached: corprus.png (475x457, 283.33K)

If you suffer from bleed you should take less poison damage because you are bleeding the poison.

If they're on separate ticks that sounds fucking busted

big brain time

>Toxic is just a faster version of poison

Attached: 1550448476169.png (500x400, 168.84K)

I liked in MHW where moving too much while bleeding would take a chunk of your health. You had to sit still or move slowly to let the wound heal.

If the weapon creates the substance itself it's venomous, if it was coated with a venom it is envenomed and if it was coated with a poison it's poisoned.

>game has psyche meter

>burn does no damage after the battle
>that's funny, why do I still have it then
>go into inventory awhile later
>half my shit is gone

>Toxic is just poison that ignores armor

They are. Bleed lasts 1 minute, Poison lasts 3 minutes and lowers healing effects, and Plague is stronger poison that lasts 10 minutes. And on top of that, there's a different item to heal each of them.

Is darkest dungeon worth the buy? I've been considering it for awhile but I've always backed from actually buying it.

What game lmao

Dark Souls has the best implementation: does nothing until you reach the critical threshold then causes injury with more poison after that threshold causing even more damage (I don't think DS does that part)

What is the most number of unique status effects that you can think of before overlap sets in?
A well knowledged user should be able to come up with at least 15.

Venom strictly refers to poison injected by animal's bite or sting.

I made that up

Red poison, blue poison, green poison, purple poison, and so forth. They're all unique, you can tell because the color is different.

You cheeky mother fucker

poison
slow
break
rend
confused
bleed
burn
paralyzed
sleep
frozen
charmed
rage
panic
blind
dazed
drunk
oil-drenched
wet
decaying
cursed

A lot more than 15 but only because of games that have mechanic-specific ailments, stuff like locking you out of using one of the game's mechanics and that kind of thing.

>m-muh realism
utterly brain dead. plus bleed and poison don't even do the same thing in real life, literally what the fuck did he mean by this?

stunned
burning
frozen
paralyzed
poisoned
bleeding
dazed
mesmerized
petrified
confused
charmed
berserked
weakened
slowed
stopped

One should gradually drain health, the other should chip away chunks of health e.g. poison does 1HP damage every second, while bleed does 3HP damage every 3 seconds.

baffled
muddled
flustered
discombobulated
dazed
confused
punch-drunk
distracted
perplexed
addled
befuddled
confused
perturbed
puzzled
abashed
disorganized
bewildered

Assuming you mean negative status effects and not all status effects:
Poison
Slow
Heavy
Petrification
Stop
Stasis
Confusion
Charm
Sleep
Wet
covered in oil
Paralysis
Frozen
Taunted
Berserk
Faint/stun/etc
Frostbite
Bleed
Curse
Blind
Bind
Zombie
Silence
Delay
Morph/Mini
Frog
Commands sealed
Fear
Stats lowered

This is without cheating and using games that have fight-specific status ailments, shit like Nisi in FFXIV

>poison and bleed can stack with eachother
>poison and bleed can also stack with themselves

Attached: 1579796794224.jpg (1060x1200, 111.33K)

Some of those overlap.
Like what is the difference between stun, frozen, stasis and stop?

Wrong.
>stun
Disables movement and action and makes you take critical damage
>frozen
Disables movement and action and makes you take heavy damage every turn
>stasis
Disables movement and action, but makes you invulnerable. Overlaps with Vanish so I didn't put Vanish on the list.
>Stop
Disables movement and action, but nothing else. You take normal damage from everything and have no other effect.s

>>stun
>Disables movement and action and makes you take critical damage
>>frozen
>Disables movement and action and makes you take heavy damage every turn
This is overlap.
Frozen does what stun does but then extra.
Do you think overlap means the exact same?

It's not overlap.

Similar happened to me in 2018. For some reason my team kept changing every so often.

They overlap.
Also Paralysis too.

Then all negative status effects overlap because they all do bad things.

>Game has status effect that's overpowered when used against players but weak as shit against bosses
>Certain bosses need to be killed with this status effect in order to get items from them
fuck you curse

Attached: grumpy.gif (720x405, 1.14M)

We're you a phoneposter with a dynamic IP?

bleed should not even be a mechanic
fucking everything makes you bleed, how is someone at 10% of their max health from a fight and not bleeding
it's stupid

It's a convenient shorthand for profuse bleeding, aka bleeding that wont stop on its own with clotting. Just like how Poison means is a shorthand for a variety of things that cause adverse effects on the body.

>only rusted weapons cause bleeding
>not literally every fucking weapon

>"burn"
>you're actively on fire

>When they're stacked, they apply other debuffs as well

>Stop with 100% crit
>Stop with DoT
>RNG Stop
>Stop Vanilla
Overlap my ass
