Smash is a marketing tool. Of course they're going to push some lesser known IPs in it. Deserve was never a thing.

It was a sloppy, wet fart of a flop that Nintendo is desperately trying to bring back because they have absolutely nothing else to carry them through the rest of the year.

Definitely not, mainly because it's a flash in the pan that will not have more than two titles in its lifetime. Splatoon will be a series for years to come, but ARMS has already peaked, and will never be a popular franchise for Nintendo.

Arms is a shit game. The only good thing about this is that they announced it ahead of time with no fanfare so there wouldn't be Byleth-tier disappointment again.

I’m more excited to see ARMS characters used outside of their bland game. I loved everything about the game’s character designs and personalities, but the gameplay fell flat.

I'd much rather they make a beat em up or musou or some type of brawler game in the Arms series than another pseudo fighter game.

The art is amazing, the characters have tons of charm, the arms gimmick is quite cool but the actual game doesn't have a lot of depth. It was cool for like 2 weeks but I've no desire to play again.

But I'd love a brawler kind of adventure game with these characters.

I'm not sure I'd call her the main villain of Wario's games, she's only in three games and in the most recent one she wasn't even a boss. She is the most recurring villain in those games, though.

Yes, but the arms character should have been in the base roster, not as an important DLC character that we are paying for. Same with Byleth. Especially Byleth (seriously fuck this character for taking up a slot on the fighters pass) I’m giving it one last chance after the ARMS character reveal. Spring Man is just a worse less interesting Max Brass. Max has exactly the same abilities that Spring Man has but he can also become huge and resistant to attacks while dealing more damage until he gets knocked down.

A lot of games (especially fighting games) don’t really have a “main” main character, so they just have whoever’s listed first on the roster as the de-facto protagonist
