I went through the entire game without viewing a pantomime. I also missed a lot of early events.

Oh well, just enhances the replayability. I feel like a brainlet since I didn't understand everything but hopefully a replay will clear things up.

apparently they are going to try to make the gameplay in each route fairly different from each other, so it aint as simple as just writing new diaouge and quests

I am 100 percent confident that we will get both the Bachelor and Changeling campaign.
Nikolay has recently stated that things are going fine at IPL, and that financial issues have somehow never really been a problem for them.

Think on the bright side, IPL devs can use all their inspiration living through the corona outbreak when writing the next two routes. Especially considering they're writing it from one of the countries with the most fucked up government response to it. Perfect for the bachelor campaign's themes of misdirection and authorities constantly hiding shit and dropping the ball

So with the global economy crashing and countries scrambling to bail it out, what does this mean for IPL? I can't imagine the Russian government giving major subsidies to niche game studios but is this going to affect them in any meaningful way?

They managed to survive even disasters like Cargo, not to mention there's no doubt corona-chan boosted the sales of Pathologic 2. Don't worry too much.
