You can very easily reach the elemental cap on any Element weapons with Nami's set and proper slotting or a charm, this include the 400+ element weapons.
TCE ends up being a bit stronger in a lot of cases, but not overwhelmingly so as to make TEA either weak or useless, TEA also doesn't suffer from arbitrary weapon type critical modifiers for elements if you want to go more indepth, not to mention that TEA is available earlier than TCE.
We'll see what happens with Nami Gamma though, maybe they'll come up with something that has both TEA and CE for a full set or allows you to do that with clownsuiting, who knows.

Note that I am using Safi HH in training area. Theres always the whole hitzone and elemental weakness calculation. If I remember correctly training dummy has 0.3 elem weakness. Data for crit elem in picture.
Silverlos set with crit skills and elemental skill maxed 5 x 150.
2p Velk 3p Nami with crit and elemental skills maxed 5 x 147.
2p Velk 3p Nami hits harder than 4p Safi and from what I have tested losing element on weapon for Velk essence for 2p Velk 4p safi is not worth it.

Isn't Safi's set bonus a 5pc? So you don't actually get anything from using 4pc safi instead of 3pc safi + 2pc velk since you can't awaken for Dragonvein. If you really wanted true element accel you'd be better off doing something like awakening for 1pc of velk or nami and running 2velk/3nami or 1velk/4nami.

Yeah youre right on safi being 3 and 5. I had a brain fart since I just woke up. I just did so many variation of elemental sets past last 2 weeks that I got them mixed up just now. I just looked back to my notepad, the points are, Silverlos gives biggest numbers but people run Safi variations for affinity(100% without WEX sounds good) and possible teo essence on weapon for MT and 3p safi. While 2p Velk 3p Nami can cap element, using 2p Velk and 3p Safi will give less element but it's easier to fit raw skills, giving higher overall damage. Weakest set was doing 5x130, strongest 5x160. Nami sets capped element at 1111 while with Safi was at 1234 still at white. If you could take out fucking slinger ammo cap from Silverlos and put anything there it would be best shit, and this is what I hope Alatreon will be.
