On the subject of Tifa, I've seen too many people talking about Cloud being awkward and uninterested around Tifa.
How many people realize that
1. The "childhood friends" shit is not real, it's just terrible fucking writing. Knowing a person exists since childhood is not being a friend, they were fucking strangers until right after he left, the bridge incident is just him being thirsty and getting involved with her retarded shit like a simp
2. He was interested in her as a teenager in puberty, meaning he wanted to stick his dick in her pussy, that is not love.
3. Everything that happened to him is a consequence of Tifa not even speaking to him or making out with him (for good or bad, that's what happens, if she got him laid at any point prior to him leaving, the world would've been destroyed)
It almost sounds like people forgot this or pretend to not know. It isn't a long-lasting love that spans over two decades, Cloud wanted to fuck her, and he still wants to fuck her, the whole love thing is gooks being unable to write romance so they came up with a "knight in shining armor" cop-out.
I've always liked this part of FF7, they shrug off this thing like they've known each other forever:
She knows nothing about him, he barely knows anything about her, yet they're best of friends.
When you think about it, it's incredible how little sexual tension is there between the two.
