We discuss why the switch lite is objectively more comfy than the meme dockable switch
ITT:
I really dont like the half second lag the switch has while docked. Ruins smash and animal crossing which require lightning fast reflexes
>ITT litelet cope
Why would you buy a nerfed console unless you are poor?
enjoy hunching over like a neanderthal whenever you want to play something instead of being able to sit back in your chair
Doesnt lite use the same shit joycons and buttons? They feel like baby toys.
the fuck are you talking about?
>get stick drift with the lite
>have to send entire console for repairs
>can't ever play on a bigger screen
>worse battery
>barely cheaper
Glad im not the only one who noticed that
what's not to love?
So what are the pros and cons of the regular switch and switch lite? I'm thinking about buying one but I'm not entirely sure which one to go for
>use compressed air to fix stick drift
>or just buy a new analog stick for less than 10 bucks and replace it
You are not a brainlet, are you?
Someone post the POV pic of the dude fucking the hot girl in the ass while holding joycons next to her butt, holding it like a Switch.
Oh wait, that never happend because virtually all switchfags are virgins.
If you can afford the regular Switch do so. If you have to save $100 go ahead and get a Lite.
Do you like playing handheld or on a big TV?
If the latter, buy the regular switch. Otherwise get the lite
Lite is the absolute best way to play the Switch as a handheld. However, the regular Switch having more play options makes it way better overall.
Convenient way to only address a small sample of the issue of a small part of that post
it's purely a cost thing. the regular switch has more options and is a better product
Its not more comfy youre just a faggot coping over the fact youre too poor to afford the superior model.
>stick drift
welp gotta replace the whole console
>barely cheaper
as it stands now, the regular switch is 3x as much as the lite.
Yeah or just unscrew the back and easily replace it with a $3 stick on eBay.
Stop memeing about the drift on the Lite you cucks
>meme
I don't think you know what that is.
Long at is a meme
Desu spam is a meme
IMAGE RELATED IS A MEME
It just is, it’s like a gameboy combines with a console from 2012, it’s pure comfy
It's not. It only would be if drift killing the sticks shortly weren't guaranteed. Can't be comfy if you're worried about not being able to use it shortly.
Worry isn't comfy.
You mean a gimmickless handheld and there's your answer.
Not an argument.
If your car engine gave out 10 days after you got the car brand new you wouldn't accept someone telling you to just replace it bro or whatever other fix that might be needed if entirely replacing it isn't needed.
There is no reason the sticks shouldn't be good for years of use.
It's your TV.
Maybe in your third world country during this pandemic. Everything is sold out here so it doesn't matter. At regular costs the lite is not worth it, still too expensive to be a viable alternative.
Where.
Did.
My.
c
Go?
/litebros/ rise up
You act like every single joycon is suffering from stick drift. My launch switch is still flawlessly fine.
Only cuckolds would buy a product they need to work on before a reasonable time period.
It's one thing if you drop it or something - that's your fault - but cheap shitty parts used to make it are not.
one switches
the other doesn't
I just wish I could detach the joy cons. I don't ever use the dock, I just play it in tablet mode + detached joycons.
/thread
so uhhhh maybe just buy a switch and don't use the dock??
Pretty sure that user does not own a Switch and does not intend to. Talking out his ass Ace Ventura style is okay for him.
b-but muh hundred dollars which isn't even enough to buy two new games!
That's what I do. I'm just mentioning my grievances with the lite.
The asymmetrical sticks ruin it
I've had my Switch since it released and I've only took it off the dock to clean it. I didn't want a handheld system, but I do want Nintendo games.
I'd like to get one but I feel like I'd regret it because I don't just want to play AC on it and stuff like Smash is probably a nightmare due to how frantic and small everything is. I like the flexibility of the regular model but I also feel like the whole hybrid gimmick completely holds it back because every game needs to be compatible for both.
This came in the mail on Friday off Amazon and I can finally enjoy playing my switch games during handheld mode without my hands cramping up.
how much extra work could really be needed to make games work in both docked and handheld?
Why not just spend the extra 100 dollars for the model that doesn't become instantly worthless when the sticks start drifting? Are you retarded?
I'm the opposite. I always played the launch switch in handheld so I sold it and got a lite. The form factor makes it a better handheld and 720p looks sharper on the smaller screen too.
I do believe we need a switch pro though with a 1080p OLED screen and better hardware.
never doubt the willingness of people to pretend that less functionality is somehow superior because they got to pay a little less
>Man, I wish I could buy a switch with all of its features removed thats barely cheaper than the real thing!
- Everyone who buys a switch lite
>I do believe we need a switch pro though with a 1080p OLED screen and better hardware
Yeah. Those 3 games that would actually make use of the hardware will be great.
Most sane developers just design for handheld first then give graphics boost while docked. Docking/undocking is handled entirely by the OS and simply switches displays + changes clock settings accordingly.
Change your TV settings. It'll have a "gaming mode" that gets rid of the input lag.
The Lite can't be hacked. It's junk.
No idea honestly, but what I meant is that the handheld mode is essentially always the definitive factor, limiting what you can actually do with it. Pair that with the already weak hardware and you basically have a handheld that barely holds up as a console, yet it gets treated as one. They should have canned the hybrid gimmick and go for 2 distinct systems altogether. Throwing out a pure handheld model isn't helping when you have games like Smash that are basically impossible to play without gimping yourself to a certain degree.
What games can't be played on the lite? It says it can play most games that have handheld compatibility, so which ones don't work?
labo, just dance and ring fit
oh the humanity
Mario Party, Ring Fit and probably trash like 1-2 Switch and Just Dance
Believe it or not, there are people who unironically bought a standard Switch and have never docked the fucking thing. Shit irrationally bothers me, but people will have preferences
OH NO NO NO NO NO NO
I wouldn't want to play a game with motion controls on it.
>worse battery life
Automatically worse. How can you excuse it having a worse battery despite being smaller and having LESS features.
smaller battery = smaller capacity?
I'm no physicist but that sounds congruent
Dont use a good set of joycons with this, it doesnt scratch on the back, but the front part of the grip sometimes leaves a black streak on joycons side when u take it off.
>>worse battery life
it's still better than every switch that was made before the lite was launched
>How can you excuse it having a worse battery despite being smaller
are you stupid?
