Disco Elysium

How can future RPGs even compete Yas Forums?

It's like I've tasted wine of the gods and anything else will taste like dishwater in comparision.

It's true. The fact that there seems to always be a few autistic posters on Yas Forums who go out of their way to derail every Disco Elysium thread probably attests to the overall quality of the game better than anything.

>you literally have no agency regarding the ending.
Hallmark of a garbage RPG.

I'm genuinely curious to see what the devs come up with next, but I assume it'll be ages before we hear from them again about making anything completely new.

Genuinely the only game I've dropped within 15 minutes. Obnoxious voicework and needlessly long descriptions for something as simple as picking up a shoe just turned me off completely.

Does anyone else feel the game would have been better without the fantasy setting? It resulted in all these lore dumps that detracted from the main plot.

Could easy have set it in a Post Eastern Bloc town.

I'm still trying to work up the motivation to finish the first one after a disastrous first attempt. Constant in-game timers give me anxiety.

Guess so. Shame I wasted zero dollars on it but them's the breaks.
