OoE is a big minus, but anyone who has Demon's Crest is cool in my book.

I'm not a fan of Majora's Mask because of the shit like the awful mirror shield trading sequence, but I really loved the dungeons, the skulltula houses and the overall atmosphere of the game.

>dangerously based
Thanks, Contracts definitely has the best atmosphere in the series which is the main reason why it's in my 3x3. Well, that and Tradition of the Trade and Beldingford Manor.
SA is an excellent pick as well, although I can't get over those few bad missions like Tunnel Rat, Motorcade Interception etc.
The Death of Hannelore is one of my absolute favorite missions, though. The environment is simply god tier - I really love the art style of SA. .
>Is Planescape Torment really that good or is it just some meme that only a few purists like
It is really that good, although the final third feels too rushed and some locations are really underutilized (they're too short), but even with these flaws the game is still excellent. The combat is nothing special (the item descriptions in the inventory are great, though), but the writing is top tier. It's definitely worth a playthrough.
Also, 3/3
Is Quake 2 really that good? I've only played 1.

>OoE is a big minus, but anyone who has Demon's Crest is cool in my book.

So how's that balance out in the end?

You're cool, user. Although you shouldn't care about what I think of you.
What are the games in bottom mid and bottom right, by the way?

Too lazy to make the whole thing again

Attached: chrome_2020-03-30_13-20-42.png (922x920, 1.73M)

A lot of my picks are just based on nostalgia, SA is obviously not the best Hitman but it's the one I have the best memories from, same with Q2, it might not be the best, but I have all the sound effects ingrained in my memory
Guess I'll give Planescape a try then, thanks user

>Guess I'll give Planescape a try then, thanks user
No problem, and you won't regret it. Just be sure to not rush and talk with every possible NPC. If I recall correctly, I spent between 2,5 to 3 hours in the Crypt (the starting point of the game). Be sure to invest a lot of points in Wisdom, it's the most important stat since it unlocks additional dialogue options (some of which makes you evade combat), plus you can run away from most of the combat encounters.

2/2 +Stalker, Blood
1/1 +DaS
1/1 +Thief
3/3 +Diablo, Tekken 3, DaS
Played Tekken 2 and 3 to death. Mainly Ogre and Julia in T3 and Michelle, Wang and Armor King in T2. Good times.
Also too lazy to rate, huh?
3/3 +DaS, Okami, HL

For shame
How's EBF5 compared to 3? That's the only one I played around 10 years ago and I remember liking it.

Homeworld and Nier Replicant.

>You're cool, user. Although you shouldn't care about what I think of you.

I meant in terms of heaven or hell, aka the whole purpose of this thread.

3/3 (OoE, STALKER, NieR)
3x3 (DMC, Tekken 3, Dank Soolz)
6/7 (Drakengard, DMC, ALttP, Dank Soolz, Okami, Automata; couldn't get into MGS)
2/3 (Mushihime, SotN; couldn't get into RoR2, though I love the original)

Homeworld

Thanks. I know of both games, but I didn't recognize those images.

Heaven, of course. You should leave and work on your backlogs instead of spending time in this place. Maybe I would have given you a different answer many years ago, but this place is beyond saving. Zoomers and cringe memes galore, with no serious discussion, comfy threads and good OC in sight.

It's much better than 3 imo. The same kind of stupid humor, but a lot more content, better gameplay and qol additions.
As with 4, the base version is free on kongregate so just try it out.

What would you have said before all those years ago?

Honestly, I saw my 3x3 as the swan song to story/character-based games that I could find.

It seems that I reached its peak. It's kind of hard to explain. I know I have other subjects to dwell in, like reading Math, Philosophy, Blanchot, etc. and I know that I could invest the time into doing that. But my job in the grocery store is always constantly demanding and family life isn't much better either. My parents had to opt for a smaller apartment (without a room for myself) after losing their jobs in 2017. I graduated from community college in 2019, but with the coronavirus pandemic, it seems that things would be far more difficult than they should.

Yas Forums is burning.

I'd probably have said that you should browse Yas Forums an hour a day or so.
>It seems that I reached its peak
I guess if you've really played a lot of story/character-based games? I still think there's more stuff for you to play.
>and I know that I could invest the time into doing that
You can try balancing out stuff, you can play vidya and do something else as well (like reading).
>But my job in the grocery store is always constantly demanding
I bet that can tire you out.

Disgusting. Kys.

I think you forgot something

It lacks challenge areas that are scaled to your level and don't reward XP. Things like boss and foe rush, but the main story is completely playable.
Post yours, faggot.

>I'd probably have said that you should browse Yas Forums an hour a day or so.

I don't really browse it as often. I used to be into /m/, but it lost its luster. Really, Yas Forums is just meant for meddling around. I have to be in the right mindset if I'm going to enter /sci/ and /lit/.

>I guess if you've really played a lot of story/character-based games? I still think there's more stuff for you to play.

Like what? If anything, I think that if my 3x3 is going to show games like Disciples II, Homeworld, Kara no Shoujo, and Demon's Crest, then doesn't that say more than it should about those kind of games?

>You can try balancing out stuff, you can play vidya and do something else as well (like reading).

I have been reading The Gaze of Orpheus by Maurice Blanchot, while also doing research on the greek tragedy its based on as well as persian mythology for a novel that I may want to write one day. Can't go too much into detail so I'll leave it from there.

>I bet that can tire you out.

It has. I literally had a fever from overworking on saturday but I'm feeling better. I'm having a bit of a cough, though its from the mucus and not from the virus.

>Chin up, user.

I'll try.

But also try saying that when Dad throws you and your sister under the bus over a mistress affair, while also jerking off to porn behind my mother's back while she was in Madrid to visit her brother last summer, while also visiting webcams. He also writes a lot of shit based on me that I happened to find and says "fuck you" whenever he has the chance whenever we get into an argument

>1/1 (Revengeance); so does PD Saga's gameplay have anything to do with the other games' rail shooter stuff? Because I hear it's one of the best games ever made all the time but I'm more a rail shooter guy than an RPG guy.
It's basically Final Fantasy with dragons. (random battles, ATB)
It has positioning like Panzer Dragoon, though, which adds some strategy to the combat. (similar to traditional PD games, moving to safe zones)

You forgot OP

12/10, huge cock irl

>Didn't you like shadow the hedgehog??? XDlmao
yes

I might check it out, but I'm not in a hurry. If I'm going to play a RPG, I'll go for something more deeper. I recall EBF3 being an entertaining game with pleasing visuals and references to me (at that time), but that's about it.

>Really, Yas Forums is just meant for meddling around.
Yeah, but there were also some serious discussions to be had. I don't remember seeing a good and serious Yas Forums thread in weeks. Then again, I rarely visit Yas Forums now.
>Like what?
I haven't played enough vidya for me to able to drop some recs. You did play the usual stuff like the famous point and click games, VNs, story-driven games on the NDS (hotel dusk, ghost trick etc.), right?
>that spoilered text
That's some hard shit, user. Keep holding on.

Yeah the first was meant for OP, accidentally quoted twice. (three times now) Not really sure how to "rate" someone's taste anyway, to be honest, I've enjoyed basically all the games i've seen posted here

>Yeah, but there were also some serious discussions to be had. I don't remember seeing a good and serious Yas Forums thread in weeks. Then again, I rarely visit Yas Forums now.

Then we're in mutual agreement then. It's best that we stay away from this board and focus on ourselves.

>You did play the usual stuff like the famous point and click games, VNs, story-driven games on the NDS (hotel dusk, ghost trick etc.), right?

Played them or not, doesn't really matter. What matters is what I do I do best.

>that spoilered text

Again

Likes to LARP around like a Frenchboo (French weeaboo) faggot, so anything he writes based on me (although he doesn't know that I found it) is basically geared towards that. Really, the major problem was that he married into money because my Mom is older and makes more than him (he's an architect while she was president of a modeling agency). After she run, he realized that he couldn't have his sugar mama anymore so he became a simp by (probably) paying webcam models. They'll all burn in hell. Don't worry.

I mean I play and review only the games that are worth mentioning or caring about.

Depends on what you're asking and if you want me to be. But then again, aren't "some" of the games I have religiously based?

>being religious

Nobody said I was. Burning in hell is an expression.

>I mean I play and review only the games that are worth mentioning or caring about.
How can you know that if you haven't played those games?

Attached: Screenshot_20200401_024749.jpg (914x1278, 414.91K)

>But then again, aren't "some" of the games I have religiously based?
You can appreciate religious fiction without being religious. I'm atheist but I loved The Prince of Egypt, Haibane Renmei, & Anohana.

>How can you know that if you haven't played those games?

What games are you implying that I haven't played?

That is UMvC3, just the cover Shinkiro did for the PS4/Bone/PC release. I'd consider vanilla Marvel 3 to just be a decent game, Ultimate's changes to the look, roster, mechanics, and overall content were enough to make it a personal favorite.

Attached: UMvC3 4.jpg (2692x3807, 2.51M)

>You can appreciate religious fiction without being religious. I'm atheist but I loved The Prince of Egypt, Haibane Renmei, & Anohana.

That's fine, but I never said that I was religious. For someone like me and my history, faith has never been a strong focal point, which can help in my favor since its best not to have faith or trust in anyone (well maybe a few).

Did you literally play every video game that exists? Or on a smaller scale - did you play the games that belong to the categories I mentioned?

>Vermintide & Deep Rock Galactic.
You don't need friends to play those, you rather make friends playing. Especially the DRG community is very welcoming towards newbies.
Also, what's your favorite beatmap, if you play standard?
>wtf is caveblazers?
It's a rogue-like platformer on Steam and Switch. Very combat focused and not like Spelunky at all, even though everyone seems to think it is because it happens to be set in a cave and there are purple bats.
>If I'm going to play a RPG, I'll go for something more deeper.
Not sure what you mean with deep, but as far as combat goes, it's quite intricate. You need to manage characters, gear, buffs and debuffs, status effects and resistances, bring the right summons and consumables.
Since some skills and gear is shared between characters, you need to choose how to distribute them to deal enough damage, resist enough damage and don't get debuffed to death.
On epic difficulty it's quite challenging actually.

That kind of thinking, and how wrong it is, is exactly why religion exists, is objectively true, and continues to flourish

>religion exists, is objectively true, and continues to flourish

Attached: laughing squids.jpg (1024x937, 158.66K)

I haven't played osu enough to have that strong of an opinion about it to be honest, just played around with it a bit because it had the same core gameplay as Elite Beat Agents. Realized I liked the overall package of EBA more than just the core gameplay.
>You don't need friends to play those
Cool. That just means I need a PC that isn't a toaster, unless Vermintide is on console and I didn't know.

>Did you literally play every video game that exists?

No, that's impossible.

>Or on a smaller scale - did you play the games that belong to the categories I mentioned?

Yeah, stuff like Hotel Dusk and Ghost Trick. There are a few hearsays like Lost in Blue and Trace Memory, but they don't look that noteworthy to play. Nor do I really hold any investment in them or their story/characters.

Redirect back to my 3x3 so you can draw the comparisons. Unless you would like to elaborate on the religious/Christian themes present in each game.

>That kind of thinking, and how wrong it is, is exactly why religion exists, is objectively true, and continues to flourish

Elaborate

Vermintide is on PS4 and XBone. DRG runs on a toaster though.

You have to have faith and trust in the people around you to some extent, even if it winds up hurting you sometimes, that's one of the core tenets of Christendom and it's one of the reasons western societies are so good. If everyone went around thinking like that guy said, society wouldn't function properly. Most religious teaching is just a set of instructions for living a good, fulfilling human life, and it isn't wrong about how you do it, I don't think it's "right" but it's true, and I would struggle to argue any passage in the bible as false, and acting like it's stupid, or pushing people away from you is only going to lead them to someone who's very willing to fill their mind with answers.

>Unless you would like to elaborate on the religious/Christian themes present in each game.
Nah, it's alright. I also understand what you mean. We can't afford to play literally everything, so stuff has to be filtered. If it doesn't look noteworthy to us then so be it, even if we miss out on a possible masterpiece.
