What games do stereotypical buddhists play?

Not trying to ignite any religion war here. I'm simply curious what games do you imagine the pic related fella play when he's not meditating?

Tetris.

Weebshit with huge anime tiddies.

obviously football games

Minecraft

I don't think buddhists play football.

Go and other ancient games.

>Playing video games
Bad idea, friend. Video games do nothing to help you achieve enlightenment.

Solitaire or Mahjong

flight simulators, poorly

Sekiro

They're not allowed to play games, or watch movies or anything.

Hold the fuck up. This is loss.

buddhists wouldn't play vidya as its all consumerist garbage

Probably nothing. Video games are too exciting snd addictive for their practices.

Probably for the best to not remind them of the parents they didn't have or the families they will never have.

the local Buddhist temple that i go to has a really old late 90s brick pc, so maybe some old dos games.

Though really when the monks come over to our place for blessings and whatnot they like to pull out their smartphones, so maybe some mobile games.

>scrabble
based

>the parents they didn't have
What the fuck are you talking about?

Manhunt

Buddhist monks start as orphans

this, he just builds multiple Buddhas

They are analog chads and play irl with sand.
They draw colored sand paintings and destroy them to ponder the impermanence of reality.

Buddhists are "allowed" to do whatever they want, but "what you want" and "what leads to enlightenment" might not be the same things.

Not all of them.
I'm not sure how it goes since things vary a lot by region, but at least by regular Theravada rules stuff like games and theatre are banned.

Very often misconception. Not every eastern buddhist is a 24/7 turbo monk abstaining from materialistic pleasures. It's all about moderation.

I vaguely remember watching some travel show where they went to a Buddhist monastery in South Korea and one of these guys was playing some weeb game.

Another misconception is that they're all chill and peaceful when some of them are actually just trying to obtain super powers, also the ones that are supposed to be all peaceful are genociding muslims.

go outside and build a cairn
right now
it's good for you

Let's not turn this into a religion war like OP requested, ok?

I am pretty sure the more traditionalist schools do advocate abstaining from all entertainment since it's a distraction. Monasteries require a lot of maintenance and instead of hiring staff, the monks are expected to do it all themselves, so the remaining time goes to religious duties rather than just relaxing.
That's one place, out of all of Asia.

I don't see how wanting to become a super saiyan is unchill or non-peaceful

Genociding is a bit strong.
They dont plan to invade middle east. They are trying to erase the remains of a former home turf invasion.

Why is everything good illegal?

bless buddha and the amazing religion of buddhism

>When you learn the whole peace and love shit about Buddhism is complete horse shit and a lie actively portrayed by the group to increase tourism at temples

Probably just walking simulators. I saw that Iceland game recently which is basically just showing off the graphics of unreal engine or some shit and all you do is walk around and take photos

Buddhism isn't a religion

Just like Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc.

Not quite.

Buddhism's got it down to a T. They love making up dumb religious ceremonies for publications like the BBC who don't do any research and make documentaries about it.

Ranton is a great watch if you want to find out how the average temple actually works. He was a Buddhist monk for several years.

Treating the divide between branches of Buddhism like the ones between branches of Christianity is a retarded Western thing to do

If they're Thai probably assfaggots, battle royales. Maybe those on mobile too.

Street Fighter

The original dead rising had a bit of light satire on shopping mall consumerist America for the time.
Oh, the Dead Money DLC from Fallout New Vegas. Not sure about the rest of the game, though, lol.

OP specifically asked that the thread not be turned into a religion war. I know this is Yas Forums but can you live without religion rent free in your head for at least the duration of this thread please.

t. theravadin scum

Thanks for proving me right.

Japaenese vidya

Isn't Buddhism one big paradox. If you want and long for something, if you desire, you are trapped in samsara. However not wanting to desire and obtain from desire is still desire. You are desiring not to desire.

he astral projected to his other PC

Probably something involving art or creation, because then they erase it all.

supposedly if that's really the only desire you have left it can be done away with as you've reached enlightenment and no longer need it, or something like that

Which Buddhist school teaches tulpamancy (or whatever the equivalent is called)?

Try not to desire anymore than you can.
