I got filtered by Genichiro. But other than that I really liked it

Best game of the decade.

I'm waiting for Ghost of Tsushima :)

I went as far as Isshin, dropping it when I realized that I would never be able to defeat him.
I didn't like the combat system.

That's the last boss, you retarded faggot.

I know.

I freaking suck at games in general, so it felt nice to beat Genichiro. I really had to learn to be relentless and perfect block, plus position myself as to not get cornered. Guardian ape filtered me anyway though. :(

Hey Bro, I dropped at isshin too. The combat system was okay. I liked Bloodborne way more.

Mediocre game with a lot of potential

I'm just going to say it: Fuck Demon of Hatred. It's not a good Souls boss and he shouldn't be in the game because this isn't a Souls game in the first place. Poking at a giant monsters toe nails with a toothpick so you can whittle away at his T H R E E healthbars is NOT FUN. Great game otherwise though, even if too many enemy types were rehashed.

I'm willing to fully accept that I'm shit at sekiro, but the gameplay loop of classing swords with dudes just to build up an annoying ohko meter wasn't fun to me

Stop replying to yourself, it's embarrassing.

bretty gud

i must be too adhd but i found managing all the meters too distracting considering the combat is so fast

>Guardian Ape is an easy boss
There, I said but.

Aside from that, Game is fun. It's one of those where you want more bosses, but the fact it's short it's also what makes it good, since the sword and posture shit might become booring on the long run.

Sekiro is a funny case. The skill floor isn't that high, but the skill ceiling is very high. Once you get to the skill floor you'll be frustrated, and if you get to the skill ceiling it feels amazing to absolutely wreck bosses that would take you ~10 minutes to kill previously, now in ~1 minute.

what about donkey kong returns though

i didn't play it.

I thought it was pretty fun. You can tell Miyazaki was really into the aesthetic and enjoyed making it. A soulful game in 2019.

I liked it.
You can easily feel they cared about this, unlike das 2&3.

I stopped playing because of constantly being btfo by people shooting arrows at me

Its one of my favorite games of all time, and i don't even like Dark Souls, or new games that much, so for a game thats fairly new to be in my favorites is rare. I just wish there was DLC or a sequel.

dude the monkey is easy as fuck to beat
He can be abused so hard it's not even funny

Double ape boss fight was also easy to be honest.

The only problem is that you have to spend the first 5 minutes of the fight running around like an idiot waiting for that moment where you can go in on the female ape with fire-cracker and oblivion her posture bar for an easy death-blow.

even easier

It's the most fun I've had with a game since Ninja Gaiden Black. What is it about ninja games that makes them so good?

fucking this
I loved the crying at release, all the summon shitters getting BTFO

It was fine. Some cool boss fights, some cool areas to explore, some interesting aspects to the story. Combat felt a bit limited by the second half, but all the above more than made up for it.

>guardian ape is easy
Kek, I think I died to him on my first play through more than to all the other bosses combined. Everyone’s different I guess

That’s adorable. Good artist too.

we were born in the wrong country at the wrong time my weeb friend

got bored at that section a bit further than the foreign knight fight and dropped

One of the best games I’ve ever played.

>Use attack up item
>Wait until Ape screams
>Start attacking him until you're close to dying of fear
>Use cleanse item on the inventory
It was a bit cheesy but that how I beat him. Double ape fight was even easier and I didn't even need to cheese it.

Reminder that it’s getting a sale on Steam in a few hours for the BAFTA Awards sale

You can deflect those arrows.

I always got hit while trying to focus on fighting other enemies. I got filtered.

Excellent game. There were the usual balance issues but they didn't detract greatly from the experience.

just run away or use shurikens, archers can't block and they die in like 2 shuriken hits.
What a stupid way to get filtered, but maybe it was for the best

It's ok. A shinobi should know the difference between honor and victory.

Beautiful environments/atmosphere and perfected combat. I still personally prefer Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1 but Sekiro is right up there. It's really something special and its a shame we presumably aren't getting any expansions.

I want to wed her

okay, nothing special

>best from game along with BB and DS1

Should I play with english or japanese audio?

CHADkino Plebs Get Filtered Twice

English of course

japanese

Good art but Wolf would never reach around his masters arm like that. Too informal. The tism won’t let me not see it

fucking trash

played all the souls games, played bloodborne. couldnt get into sekiro. doesnt really play how i like to play fromsoft games.

yeah gameplay wise sure

but atmosphere? theres close to none in sekiro from what ive played so far

With a giant fuck-ass armor, shield and iron flesh. Just like in the crusades.

That's a weird way of saying you haven't played it yet.

>but atmosphere? theres close to none in sekiro from what ive played so far
Imaging being so wrong

>theres close to none in sekiro
How to spot a retard
>sneaking away to save your lord in a fucking castle
>catacombs
>senpou
>mibu
>valley
>FOUNTAINHEAD
The game is pretty much atmosphere through and through.

Mibu village is the only good level in sekiro

too bad it's so short

Just got to Owl Father. Good shit once you get good at deflecting and using the consumables and prosthetics properly. Once you get past Genichiro and you get your first Shinobu art, it feels like a whole new game. Also, assuming you don't go straight for the first final technique in of the original skill tree you aren't really given any incentive to cheese your way through any of the boss fights, unless you're really shitty at mikiri countering/jumping/dodging pelrilous attacks.

that's how speedrunners do it too:
>buff using Yashariku Sugar
>Mortal Blade until there are no Spirit Emblems left while the Ape screams
>then fight him

Owl Father has ascended to become my favourite boss ever, it's such a thrill to see him mimic your movements by using Chasing Slice, Shadowfall, Mikiri Counter etc, etc

random japanese house
another random japanese house

wow oozing atmosphere guys sorry i was wrong

He also uses the same basic attacks, if you haven't noticed
