I never finished this game. I defeat grigori and instantly get a burnout wich makes me stop playing it until a decide to restart it.
Anyone has the same problem?
The game is good, but damn it's exhausting to play.

>Anyone has the same problem?
No, new enemies are exciting, Everfall is good, although it's just combat rooms, but then comes BBI that just ramps it up to eleven.
I replay it once a year or so. It's one of my favorite games of all time and I still discover weird new shit in it because it's such a strange and unfinished game, despite still feeling like a mostly complete package.
Same, this playthrough i found out that it's possible to cram the Gran Soren fountain full of people.
I played the game four or five times over the course of maybe six years without ever trying out mystic knight
DD2 is by far my most wanted game of all time
My amazon Warrior Pawn, give her the longsword or the warhammer?
Hammer.
Why do all the npc's stare my arisen with such contempt?
i finished this game and the bitterblack isle multiple times about 4 years ago. for some reason i just can't the game up again even though i just love the exploration and combat in this game.
It suffers from the same problem as BotW, once you know where everything is, the game turns into a checklist of tasks.
Around Elves watch yourselves
>Start playing DD again
>Never played as a mage or archmage
>consider trying it
>play as a warrior/fighter again instead
Same goes for character height, always go for 1.90.
I still don't know what's in those holes you can climb through if you were tiny enough.
>Everfall is good
No it's complete bullshit.
The difficulty ramp-up is insane and the way you traverse the damn thing is annoying.
There's no clear way of knowing what platform you're landing on so you end up spending a lot of time going into an already cleared chamber.
I absolutely love the game, but the same thing happened to me
Having a huge backlog I want to go through doesn't help.
>1.90
Its 190, a 190cm which is like 6'1"
Yeah...
How good is the mystic knight for the late game content if i disregard minmaxing?
Mystic Knight is good no matter what. If you have low physucal stats, melee is going to be underwhelming, but that gets fixed once you unlock abyssak anguish. If you lack magic certain multi-hit spells will be unviable, but they aren't really all that necessary.
After 300 hours playing as a warrior I finally discovered the great beauty exodus slash has, cant believe I didnt tried before.
Minmaxing is irrelevant on this game brother
400+ hours here.. and I've just started another play through seeing as I'm stuck home.
Are you on pc?
aught
It can matter, if you want to use specific skills.
Xbox 360 version :)
The only "difficulty ramp" in vanilla Dragons Dogma is that you only get one set of Dragon weapons. And your gear gets Dragonforged
And the Dragon Gear is so superior to normal weapons they look like a complete Joke unless its Aneled/Rusted for status debuffs.
The bump is itself is that the Merchant that sells Dragon tier gear is down in the abyss of the Everfalls, and you might miss him because you don't go to the platform he is at.
So basically your gear is now joke tier, unless you use the dragon weapons, and most likely your pawn and the 2 rentals are still using pre Dragons weapons that isn't Rust/Aneled/Golden.
Its the same for BBI, except you need to grind for Tier 2/3 BBI weapons, which are random loot drops.
Whre Tier 1 BBI is just Dragon gear tier, instead of BBI tier.
Big pimpin'. I actually need some more tier 3 BBI stuff, but I'm also at the start of this NG+. Not sure if I'll farm or just chill out while playing the story for a bit.
My problem with the game is that MA is so incredibly overpowered. It's so fun to play, but it trivializes literally everything.
Should i keep my pawn as a Madeleine lookalike, or should i turn her into an elf girl(male)?
most BBI level 3 armors have shit for fashion
Before DD:DA Magick Archer used to have the worst levelling stats 101 to 200.
10 to 100 all classes have somewhat balanced stat growth where its only possible to cheat yourself out of 400 attack or 300m.attack in worst case scenario.
And another 300 in worst case scenario.
700p.attack and 600m.attack sounds like a big deal until you remember Strider, Ranger, Magick Archer and Mystic Knight all have balanced stat growths, so its not a big issue.
Its only a issue if you play Assassin 10-200 and then try out Sorcerer. Or Sorcerer 10-200 and then try out any of the physical vocations.
For everything else its not a issue.
The balanced classes simply do not lose a lot of stat gain.
>the difficulty ramp is only due to gear issues
Uh no, you also get treated to Hellhounds spamming your shit with fireballs. Beholders which I'm still not sure how you're supposed to fight, bitch is immune 90% of the time. Lastly there's the Hydra which is not at all like the one you fight in the camp, but instead has a shitton of hp and can one-shot you should it decide to take a stroll around the chamber.
To a seasoned player this might not be a problem, but for someone who's never heard of BBi and decided to just go through the main part of the game, there's quite a difficulty ramp-up.
>inb4 you played the game wrong
At no point does the game give any indication that you're in fact undergeared and need to farm/grind in BBi. Up until that point, the game was a cakewalk.
Twinks need to be gassed.
The pic of potential DD fantasy races from the artbook shows a sufficiently masculine male elf.
>The difficulty ramp-up is insane
no it's just that basegame is piss easy and everfall is where the game actually becomes challenging. and even then they compensate for that by showering you with wakestones and healing items
>so you end up spending a lot of time going into an already cleared chamber
or you could stop being retarded, note down the names of each layer and jump from layer to layer. if there's one you can't reach from the one above, you just remember it's position and loop
you get to choose ONE class the gets added to dd2
>spearman
>brawler
>conjurer
>necromancer
which do you choose?
absolutely fucking broken primarily due to one single ability: abyssal anguish. this is the shit that makes the difference between hitting for less than a pixel of hp and shredding fucking dragons in 7 seconds
>no it's just that basegame is piss easy and everfall is where the game actually becomes challenging
So a difficulty ramp-up.
>or you could stop being retarded, note down the names of each layer and jump from layer to layer.
Yeah brah, because they're so distinctively different from one another, it's very obvious which chamber is Anxiety, which one is Lament and which one is Estrangement. It's also especially easy to know which ones you've already cleared. Totally.
I like the game, but let's not be retarded here, user.
>Uh no, you also get treated to Hellhounds spamming your shit with fireballs.
They really aren't any worse than Harpies or Ingle enemies. So long you got a gap closer and you got the gear, it is fine.
What I will say is that when you go from Goblins(passive and unaggressive) to Everfall enemies, they become aggressive enough to start rewarding Perfect Block/Easy Kill. Before that point only elite enemies are aggressive enough to truly reward perfect blocking
Then again, the fire lizards in the Cursed Mountain isn't that different from Everfall enemies in pure tier.
But they are sadly extremely exploitable to weakness. And passive.
Give fighter the ability to use spears.
Give warrior brawler skills.
Give mage conjurer skills.
Give sorcerer more necromancy skills.
Remove limit on how many skills can be set at a time.
>Hellhounds
lmao just block and use elements
>Beholders
cut off their tentacles then bully
>hydra
one of the most passive bosses of the game that can't even get you while climbing
user are you telling me you're too stupid to write down the names of each layer and just tick off all the ones you visisted?
seriously?
>Wakestones
Oh you mean the thing you're supposed to be collecting in there to complete the quest?
>Harpies
>Ever a problem
No, the fucking hellhounds are top tier bullshit, because while you're off wailing on one of them, the rest of the pack is pelting you with hellfire from afar.
While having to constantly use Reset+Roll is intense, there's no denying it's bullshit.
You may not like it, but this is what an optimally built male elf looks like:
Of course I wrote it down like any sane human bean would, but they all look the same, there's nothing setting them apart so you'll be spending a lot of time just falling through it while trying to keep up with your position.
But whatever, you'll defend this no matter what points are brought up.
I have nothing good to say about the Everfall, it was easily the lowest point of the game.
>Another DD thread
Fine, reinstalling...
I'm going to brine all of your pawns.
>lmao just block and use elements
What block? What elements?
I'm a fucking Assassin.
>cut off their tentacles then bully
Done that, still goes invincible for seemingly no reason.
>one of the most passive bosses of the game that can't even get you while climbing
Yeah he's not exactly difficult, just one big damage-sponge as your weapons do fuckall and it kills you if you touch it while it's slithering around the chamber.
Harpies/Sirens/Succubus encircle you, but can't actually do anything to you unless you have 0 sleep resist and you walk into their song area.
Hellhounds are just aggressive, but its the same thing: They encircle, but they attack.
The BBI upgrades of the Harpies do the same.
And the Garms.
And somewhat the elite Goblins.
>to complete the quest?
a quest you don't have to complete and shouldn't since it locks you in the ending
>waahhhh this enemy is actually aggressive this is bullshit!
here's a tip: since the enemies throws projectiles how about you don't stand still on the spot like a retard?
Everfall is shit but not for the reasons you list. It's shit because it has zero variety.
Navigation is a non issue since you have a fucking map
assassin can use shields you moron
>Done that, still goes invincible for seemingly no reason
just hit it
>Navigation is a non issue since you have a fucking map
>implying the map is 3d
Could you just for one fucking second think about the shit you spout?
>don't complete the game!
I'm not sure how that speaks in favor of the game.
>how about you don't stand still on the spot like a retard?
While I understand you're grasping for straws here in your blind defense of the game, this is just you being a retard.
>assassin can use shields you moron
Yeah so I invest heavily in Dagger+Bow, and then I have to suddenly swap it all out, why not tell me to just go Fighter entirely, or Mystic Knight if you're going to give this kind of advice.
Sadly true.
Spear anything, easy. Always my favorite class.
>I'm not sure how that speaks in favor of the game.
Bro, he's just making sure you don't fast forward to the end credits. You don't do that when watching a movie either, do you?
I just replay BBI every now and then. The rest of the game is too slow and tedious.
WHY IS PAWN NOT GETTING HIRED REEEEEE
Dragon/ur dragon weapons are good enough for the island.
Platform?
The game literally tells you the BBI island is for "experienced players", and well, you pretty much notice cause is kinda clear user
PLAYSTATION FOUR (4)
You misunderstand.
The farm/grind would take place in BBi, I am complaining that the Everfall's gear/level requirement is too high compared to the rest of the game - excluding BBi.
My arisen now decorates the fountain square.
Send help
>it's exhausting to play.
because it's not good.
But after killing grigori you get a dragon weapon, wich is more than enough to "beat" the everfall, also there are npcs who sell great weapons on the everfall, but they are kinda expensive. I understand the difficulty gets suddenly "too high" after the dragon, but its fun to finally have a challenge again. Btw, at what level did you kill the dragon?
>at what level did you kill the dragon?
Around 40-50.
Hellhounds are based, the only kind of enemies that I reallly find annoying and boring to fight are those phantoms/spectre shits, worst enemies by far
