They are a tight fit but they'll get fucking drift pretty quickly. Mine are unusable now

If you're not afraid to change some connectors, you can easily replace the joycons with some chinese (obviously bad idea right now) ones from amazon.

because consoles and so their games expire. the next gen console or the one after that, or the 20th after that will not guarantee that i can play the game i just bought. so i sell them.

on the other hand, i have no problem with digital because even 100 years from now on i will be able to play it thats guaranteed.

its also makes other games cheaper. pretty much bought like 3-4 games for my PS4 and just kept selling ones i finished and didnt need and then buy new ones. basically didnt cost me an extra dime any new game.

It's not the hinges, yeah the rail does loose some grip on the Joycon side because the stopper does ware down but I've had my switch since late 2017 and it's still fine, worn but fine.

I have both the OG and the Lite.
I vastly prefer the Lite as a portable because the OG is a flimsy piece of shit out of the dock. That said I still like to dock my Switch to play some multiplayer games so the OG is good for that.

Yeah I was really skeptical of the detachable gimmick.
Really bummed out because you lose the TV mode, but I only wanna play AC and dragon quest so I'll probably go with lite.

Keep in mind that there are some games that turn into absolute dogshit when played handheld, like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for example. If you want to play Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, remember that that's most likely on the same game engine as XC2 was so it'll probably bet a horrible experience on the Lite.
