shut up old fart, there is plastic toy to be found somewhere

WHERES THAT FREAKIN' RED KEY CARD.

says a lot about the playtesters of this game that they didn't pick up on this colosal blunder because they kept dying

why did he keep saying this?

Because he wanted you to know that the longer the Icon of Sin is on Earth, the stronger it will become.

why

>Because he wanted you to know that the longer the Icon of Sin is on Earth, the stronger it will become.

This MFer knows far too much than he should

Because the longer the Icon of Sin is on Earth, the stronger it will become.

Because if you don't get it off Earth, it'll become stronger.

does the icon eat the souls of the people on Earth for that power up?

Because he's the reincarnation of the seraphim. Samur, Samuel?? Hellooooooo?? Same voice actor too you motherfucker.

Warning! The BFG 10,000 is firing.

Attached: 10000.png (701x493, 746.08K)

so many cacos

>"Evacuate to mars surface, the Slayer has the BFG."
Man just imagine hearing that over the intercom.

>Samael is literally the name of an angel who is described as being enormously tall
>"Hurr S. Hayden sounds kind of like SATAN! AMIRITE?"
I'm glad they dropped any pretense of subtlety for Eternal because it obviously wasn't working.

I'm annoyed you dont get to pilot one of the massive mechs and shoot this thing with it

Remember, Gordon: The longer the Icon of Sin is on Earth, the stronger it wi- Hello, Gordon!

Okay Dr. Hayden, but can the Icon of Sin become strong enough to blow a hole into the surface of Mars?

SNAKE, WATCH OUT! THE B.F.G. 10,000 IS FIRING!

Attached: THE ELEVATOR.jpg (482x800, 71.54K)

I didn't catch that. What happens again?

Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this

The B.F.G. Is Firing, Huh? Got it.

It's not the only thing that becomes more powerful when it's longer.

I thought this was hyping up a giant Doom Guy robot.

I want to fuck hayden so bad bros

The BFG?

What the fuck was it firing at?

That one caco.

I legitimately don't understand this meme, he says it like once in the game.

a single cacodemon at a time. the whole gun was just hayden swingin his maykr peen around for show really

>see the broken Sentinel mech in the lower level of the Fortress
>think VEGA is fixing it for us and it'll help us fight the Icon of Sin
>it never gets fixed and is never mentioned
Disappointment

>STRONGER IT WILL BECOME
Will it tho?

Deep space demons.

They said that only Crucible weapon can keep a Titan dead, but do you think the BFG 10k could do it too? They both run on Argent Energy.

The game was great but having Haydens disembodied voice in your head was a shit decision and made the game worse. Didn't he even say that vega had to be taken with doomboi because it was impossible to keep contact or something? But then this dude suddenly can pinpoint all your actions and won't shut up

Haven't played this, but the Icon of Sin being the final boss, along with the limited story that's being told seems really disappointing.
I mean, is that it?

Friendly reminder that he did nothing wrong.

>Caring about the story
Right right, now I guess you're going to tell me how you're an OG Doom fan.

firing?

I'm not. Never played anything except E1M1 a looong time ago since it was some demo on the family PC or something. I liked Doom 2016.

I just expected a lot more revelations than what I've heard of so far.

He says it more than that

Didn't they side with demons BECAUSE this dumbass stole Father and forced the Maykrs hand because without the Father they could no longer be reborn?
I feel it was pretty well explained that they only sided with demons after the Father was gone

>automatic Precision Bolts are bug and not a feature
youtu.be/i4EIhSa8l-4

The story isn't really "limited" it is just limited in that it doesn't really care to pick up where 2016 ended.
I don't understand why the icon of sin is a disappointing way to end on? The game is fantastic, better than 2016, and sure 2016 had a better way of telling the story but everything else is better in eternal.

Yeah yeah I'm sure the gameplay is an improvement and whatever. But the Icon of Sin is what exactly? Does the game go into the lore, or is this just a glib fascimile, taking an old boss and putting it ingame? Not saying the fight is different, but you wrecked this nigger once before, no?

>tfw my boomer dad at 52 played through this game with literally every cheat on
>checked his gameplay and he had 999 praetor suit points, 999 weapon slot points, 999 weapon mastery tokens, god mode, infinite jumping, infinite ammo

Don't worry, you'll be able to use it in one of the single-player DLCs! maybe

It is explained fully

I for one am completely fine with the fact that we didn't get to operate one of those mechs in a gimmicky fight.

But given how many fans have been wanting this, if they ever make a Doom 6, I bet it'll have at least 3 levels where we get to do this and they'll all suck.

It only sounds good on paper. This is a game tailored for FPS action, running around and juggling your weapons. Being thrown into a giant mech vehicle is a gimmick that only entertains once or twice, then every subsequent playthrough makes you wish you could just go back on foot and do things your way.

It is explained and it is also built up unlike in Doom 2016 where Olivia just randomly turns into a spider for you to fight.

he says it three times. i thought the game was gonna pull some "would you kindly" shit on me

It was made from the soul of the Betrayer's son and was controlled using the Son's heart. You wrecked it's face the first time. Then the Makyrs took it's corpse, revived it, and tried to control it using the Heart. So this time the Betrayer gives you a macguffin that you use to stab the Heart with and release the Son's soul. Though this also breaks all control anyone has over it and it starts rampaging. So you have to put it down again. For good this time with the Son's soul being freed.

I wonder what final baddie we'll face off against in the next game. At first I wanted Hayden to be a bad guy but I no longer do. Hoping they can come up with a cool final boss in the next game.

In I didn't mean a gameplay segment to control it. I meant maybe a cutscene piece where it drops down to Earth, we hook up the BFG to its shoulder cannon, and use that to blast off the Icon's armor and then fight it normally because BFG burns out the cannon after one shot. Something like that.

Shub-Niggurath

There's only one place left to go. One enemy left to kill. One hero left to save. And with Maykr technology, we can do it. We're going to the Arena Eternal.

Are they going to call the next game DOOM 666

I hope so. Final boss is the Dark Lord himself.

God.

just a fuckload of chaingunners, archviles and revenants

I'm honestly pleased with the current formula it has and would prefer if it'd be DLC or if they release mapping tools,so people can make their own levels

so who was the one shouting NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO after you killed the pretty angel maykyr lady

i could believe that this or something similar was actually planned. it seemed kinda weird to me that you take its armor down with the same weaponry you use to actually kill it

Probably the ruler of Hell, they had a pretty nice deal going with Urdak.

Prob Satan himself.

Nah, Samur is definitely Satan since he betrayed Heaven to bring Hell to its doorstep. Being a fallen angel and all that.

Remember when this game used to have good writing?
Then:
>Samuel Hayden: We're only temporarily disabling the tower; you need to remove each lens individually. Carefully release the hinges...
>*Doomguy smashes the argent filter*
>Destroying the production of argent energy isn't necessary.
>You must stop, the hell energy is unusable without the filters.
>What you are destroying is more valuable than you can possibly imagine. It is a perfect and unlimited energy resource.
Now:
>Samuel Hayden: You can’t just shoot a hole into the surface of Mars
>Objective: Shoot a hole in Mars
The characters used to have agency and motivations but the writers replaced that with lore dumps and Josh Whedon quips.

My initial thought was that it was VEGA.

read he did nothing wrong. He's not satan. He's the hero of the story.

Satan isn't necessarily a bad dude, he just wants the best for Humanity and fuck heaven.
