How did this happen?
How did this happen?
People have been waiting for this release for 8 years. Unironically when Bannerlord was announced I was still a boy.
soullord vs soulles eternal
Its like Half Life 3, but actually got released
Is it good? I don't usually go for Early Access shit. How alpha-y is it?
Bannerlord is a more casual game that appeals to a broader audience on top of people literally getting edged for five years since its announcement
BECAUSE DOOM IS ON CONSOLES
Fucking retards.
No fucking clue what the appeal of M&B is. I played it nearly on release and got bored very fast. Played it again when I found out everyone but me loves it, still didn't see anything other than an empty eurojank. Now there's this. Oh well, good for you guys I guess?
Wait, mount and blade is more casual than doom?
What the fuck did you mean by this?
Mountain Blade is an arcadey hack & slash sandbox with a flat difficulty curve once you get used to it. You set your own goals, the combat/economy/traversal hasn't much depth to explore, and the generous save system gives it very low stakes unless you deliberately impose challenges on yourself outside the context of the game by restricting your usage of it.
If Warband had a better tutorial and graphics I'm sure zoomers would flock to it the same way they do for stuff like Fallout 4 or No Man's Sky. It's super engrossing and fun but I have no pretensibeinabout it being anything but a casual sandbox game I enjoy playing a lot due to it scratching certain autistic tastes I have - like, I dunno, Minecraft or something.
>pretensibeinabout
Wow I fucked up that. Meant "pretensions about it" - fuck me for phoneposting without autocorrect on I guess.
steam sold over 700k copies of Doom Eternal. let that sink in, retard.
Eternal can be beaten within a day.
MnB is known for being a suitable replacement for Xanax.
>Steam sold 700,000
>That means nobody bought it on consoles
No you're the fucking retard.
I bought the first Doom (albeit after release) but ended up playing about an hour of it. I thought it turned out shit and I didn't get a Doom experience from it at all, but more similar to a Doom 3 if anything in the way it looks and feels.
People finished Doom Eternal already, it's old thing now.
>tfw can't buy the game because i used my money on groceries
I want to end it already, but i want to play this
Yes, It's like comparing Doom and Sims.
And M&B is like sims, everyone has played it, everyone knows it's cool, anyone can play it and it's not been ruined by EA.
There are people who play only online RP and people who play single player only and players who mod the fuck out of it and ect ect, so many different players.
no, you fucking mong.
the OP is about how Doom has 85k peak and Bannerlord has 170k. but Doom sold 700k on steam, that means MORE players should be playing it. the fucking consoles sold 250k and 450k.
OP asked how could this happen. and you go hurr consoles. when both PC and consoles have tons of sales.
just stop posting.
let me reiterate for you.
this thread had nothing to do with consoles, OP was taking a jab at the PC version of Doom losing out on players compared to a game that is much more fucking niche.
>still rising
WTF
>sequel to a game that sold six million copies is "niche"
Mountain Blade is as normie as they fucking come.
back in 2014, this game is literally who
It's not 2014 anymore
so, what?
game is good, people are spreading from mouth to mouth
Brainlet
>everyone has played it
I've never played this game.
nuDoom is the most zoomer thing out there probably
Most zoomers have no clue what the fuck a M&B is.
unless you've had sex you're still a boy
>never played M&B
American, I pressume?
>so, what?
So why the fuck bring up it wasn't mainstream in 2014 as if that matters?
Zoomers don't control the video game market.
There is nothing zoomer about Doom eternal though.
because the game USED TO BE NICHE RETARD
It's a fully featured game with occasional bugs and lacking polish in a few places. Perfectly playable though, as the number show.
Personally, the only gamebreaking bug I experienced is infinite loading in one of the cities if you want to walk around it, which you really don't need to do unless for some sidequest.
6 million units in fucking 10 years is absolutely nothing, user.
Cities Skylines has sold like 8 million units on PC in half that time, and Cities Skylines ain't some big-name game.
They don't call it zoom doom for a reason
Even if zoomers aren't the target audience, the new doom games appeal to a more broad audience than M&B or even the original doom does, even if M&B is a casual little game.
And it isn't now so that doesn't fucking matter you mouth breathing autist.
Zoomers don't play nuDoom, millennials do.
What features remain to be added in?
>6 million units in fucking 10 years is absolutely nothing, user.
It would be literally the 7th best selling Capcom game if it was published by Capcom, fucking retard.
Zoomers will zoom through ZOOM Eternal and drop it for good. Bannerlord is here to stay for a long time.
Literally who the fuck cares about Doom but old boomers?
Mount & Blade has had multiple free weekends, actual sales are likely less than half of that figure.
M&B is THE game you take with you if stranded on an island.
>pc exclusive
vs
>multiplat
Yes, believe it or not, there are people who unironically play FPS games on consoles. I love it how you spergs still find a way to seek conflict even when this month has been the best we've had in a long time when it comes to games.
>Zoom
>>pc exclusive
Pick one
underrated posts
one is a pc exclusive released only on steam
the other is a multiplat where all cheaper 3rd party keys for pc use bethesda launcher so anyone whos fucked by bethesda regional pricing on steam gravitates towards those
>the sheer cope from DOOMEfags in this thread
Glorious.
These games look exceedingly jank. What’s the appeal?
So it seems you never played the game. It's ok user, hating on games you never played is ok here.
Meanwhile Zoom eternal is a fucking console shooter.
or OR
people completed it
it's not a fucking mmo
Not only that, Doom is on Bethesda's launcher too rather than only on Steam. I ended up getting that version (by accident) when I bought it on gmg.
Hey retard, the number is how many players are playing simultaneously at peak. Just because the all time peak is 80k, doesn't mean only 80k people played it. As for the first two figures, its a single player game. I 100% more than a week ago. People beat games sometimes.
You are a special kind of retard
It sounds ridiculous but he's not wrong
is that the green faction city? col something?
if so aye i've found that bug
honestly glad I didn't buy into MB2 memelord and the excessive shilling including the sticky, what a literal ripoff
It literally isn't.
It's a pc shooter with a console port. Same as UT and countless others.
It's pretty buggy but still playable
Mount & Blade is a PC game. DOOM is a console port. Learn the difference.
You will never find an actual normie who knows what mount and blade is
The jank, but also the 1000s of units at once and the free-form exploration.
>It's a pc shooter with a console port.
Where's the proper PC UI that doesn't use shitty wheels? Why can't I bind my two grenades to seperate buttons instead of having one to switch and one to shoot? I'll tell you - the console button for switching grenades is left dpad, which would be awkward for shooting. Why can't I scroll through the fast travel points with WASD and have to use the arrow keys instead? They just really don't give a fuck.
Just pirate it, my dude.
