I wish it had more traditional roguelikes, but otherwise I'm enjoying it a lot. Playing Animal Crossing, Wizard of Legend, Tangledeep and Slay the Spire mostly.
I was enjoying DQ XI but then I got burned out and haven't touched my Switch since
Compared to the vita how bulky is the lite?
I wanna get one but the fucking rona is making it a bitch. The only ones left on Amazon are marked up at LEAST $50
Its the only video game system I was allowed to bring to a Halfway House. Playing Pokemon Sword
It's been said a million times, but Animal Crossing is making this whole "stay at home" bullshit a lot more manageable
So far...but I will have even more fun once I get a bigger memory card and I figure out how to hack it.
Never touched a Vita but it's lighter than the 3DS XL
hold on I'll get a picture of mine together
you mean like proper rougelikes? Cause switch has some pretty decent roguelites with dead cells and slay the spire just to name a couple.
Does the Lite run worse since its always in handheld mode? Like drawn distance, number of models on screen, framerate etc?
Yes. I 'm currently playing Hyrule Warriors, and I forgot how much fun MK8D was. I'm currently waiting for Wonderful 101 remastered.
I may be tempted to get Animal Crossing once I get my Trumpbux, but who knows.
Fucking loving it even more since AC came out. Might get Mystery Dungeon DX once the honeymoon phase of AC is over when I'm not putting in 2+ hours per session.
>Wonderful 101 remastered
>tfw we got our system choice email today
it's close brother
>play Mario Kart and Smash with friends
>play Splatoon 2 alone
>gf plays Picross S in the evening
>I play Animal Crossing in bed
The switch is based.
Yes the lite is in constant handheld debuff, as to what it affects depends from game to game, Hyrule Warriors for example has some very noticeable FPS dips but thankfully it never diminishes the number of enemies on screen which imo is more important
I'm playing DQXI now but holy shit does it feel long as fuck.
Completely game dependent. Some games actually run worse in docked mode.
The Vita is less bulky than the lite, though the weights are similar
The Vita has a better form factor and is more comfortable to hold for extended periods of time, you may want to buy a grip
Based
Just waiting for SMT5 and MP4 now.
I hate how the main items in Animal Crossing are mapped to the D-Pad. Why can't you toggle them with L/R?
My switch is collecting dust. No good games
i'm playing TWEWY right now, i think i'm understanding why this game is beloved. its taking my mind off how my gf went into quarantine with her other bf instead of me.
I haven't played my switch in about a week because people stopped posting mhgu threads on Yas Forums
If I could FUCKING FING ONE. I sold my first gen planing to buy a newer model for the battery but life got in a way and now I can't play animal crossing.
Playing Smash as usual but I've got no one to play it with
its a JRPG my dude. its gonna be like 60+ plus hours at least. good taste though
What's worth getting? Switch lite or the normal one?
normal, unless you're going to exclusively play in handheld mode
Ok. Im considering the lite if anything so ill need to look into the games im interested most in to see if their handheld mode is tolerable.
Is it hard to find people to play with? I wanna pick it up but not if the playerbase is gonna plummet by the time I hit G rank shit.
Is there an up-to-date list of Switch exclusives floating around anywhere?
nah it's pretty active
Check out some Switch Lite *Game Name* videos on Youtube, there are plenty.
Doom for example is great
>Is it hard to find people to play with?
There are always plenty of random rooms up, especially in G-rank. I just preferred playing with the guys on this board
my lite just showed up now i gotta wait for animal crossing to get here very excited
really?
still can't decide between a regular and lite, but now that the mario 64 ports are coming I'll probably get the big one
bing bing wahoo
I wonder when everything will actually ship, though. I have a big backlog anyway, so it doesn't really matter much if it's a month late or so, especially since I've already played the original.
What are the best games to have digitally on your system at all times?
>Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
>Animal Crossing New Horizons
>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
>Splatoon 2
>Super Mario Maker 2
any others?
not very. it's about as thick.
>actually wanting to cycle through your tools one at a time when they added a weapon wheel
fuck, beat me to it
the switch lite is large enough to not be pocketable, the vita is small enough to slip into a jeans pocket
The original oled vita is thicker in the center and thinner on the sides compared to the lite. Not sure about the v2 vita
thanks for that gif, needed a laugh
god damn the fucking SOUL
Nintendo is a joke, they have killed every single thing they made with soulless sequels. fully expecting a soi-riffic Splatoon 3 that looks like Fisher-Price instead of Super-Soaker
Shut the fuck up
mad because it's true
how bad is the switch port of bloodstained? I was looking forward to playing that in comfy handheld mode but people say it's a bad port - have there been patches?
I have the kickstarter edition physical copy but I never played it because I left it sealed to keep the collectors value lol
they have patched it but it is literally no different performance wise. it's a mess and should be avoided at all costs.
>switch lite is large enough to not be pocketable
Damn. Appreciate the pics though.
Bummer, guess I'll have to play it elsewhere. Thanks user
Any good eshop recs/hidden gems?
Even on other systems it has major issues. Play it on PC if you can.
After 1 year and a half my left joycon finally started to drift.
HAC-001 a.k.a. V1 unpatched for hacking.
HAC-001(01) a.k.a. V2 for slightly better battery life.
Switch Lite for strictly playing in handheld mode only. Don't buy it unless you are on a tight budget or not ever going to play on a tv.
Why are people still buying Switch lites?
Regular Switch isn't too big and joycon drift is extra crippling on the lite.
I don't think it'd be worth the extra money saved.
bee simulator
Box Boy + Box Girl
the touryst
picross s1/s2/s3
Are the switch lite buttons clicky lime those of a normal switch
How do I prevent this from happening to me?
>lime
*like
>joycon drift is extra crippling on the lite.
They still drift!
Why the fuck have they not fixed this issue?
Golf Story and The Touryst
soft and quiet. not mushy tho
Guess clean it often with pressurized air? Dunno, otherwise I wouldn't be having drift.
Still have a pro to play with, but no more comfy animal crossing in bed for me, for the next few days. Bummer, it just isn't the same away from bed.
