I take back anything good I said about Capcom. There was no comeback.

Capcom has no way forward with RE as it stands. Every new game they've come out with continues to get less sales than the previous one since RE5. The fanbase bemoans the changes that transpired between 4 to 7 but it's clear that the vocal fanbase does not represent the majority. All they can do is pump out safe remakes while they attempt to figure out how to improve sales on the next true installment of RE, and it's clear that listening to the whiners isn't getting them anywhere.
