What's a game that either takes place in your state or was developed in it?
What's a game that either takes place in your state or was developed in it?
I'm not American. Sorry for not contributing.
>Be Minnesotan
>Literally no games use us as the primary location
A Fallout game with floating settlements like in WaterWorld would be cool. You could fight mutant fish that evolved to walk on land.
What a waste of a post
California, lots of games set here
>a post apocalyptic game set in northern Minnesota where you constantly have to travel across lakes and rivers while looking out for mutant predator fish from sinking your boat and devouring you
Minnesota is ripe for an open world game, brother
people like setting zombie games in georgia for some reason
Indiana will never have any significance, ever.
i think the original doom was developed in texas
also deus ex but im not sure for either of these honestly
oregon trail was developed here, but yeah i can't think of anything that takes place here
Fallout New Vegas
Nebraska.
i have not seen a single game that takes place in Nebraska. at best you can simply find the state on a map in the background of games that show a map of the continental US.
I passed through there on a trip to chicago
Never seen so many windmills in me life
NY. Plenty of games probably. Like Crysis 2 for example.
No game has ever taken place in Iowa.
the cdc headquarters is in atlanta. hack writers think that's a le funny twist since mose zombie media is virus/disease based.
Rhode Island.
City of Heroes is fictionally based there. Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning was made there and bankrupt my state there.
>tfw all of the games that take place in your state are shit
Newgrounds was made about 5 mins from my house
>Tennessee
Nothing good comes from this shithole. The whole south is a shithole.
>one chance at life
>not born in america
Fallout NV
i'll dedicate my next hamburger to you bro
What is raccoon city based on?
We've got this guy here; the pride of Arizona.
What about Puzzle Agent?
I'm pretty sure RC is supposed to be somewhere in the midwest
>North Carolina
Epic Games is literally a ten minutes drive from my house, so Fortnite, Gears, Unreal, etc.
Some nukeable town like Columbus.
meant to quote
Half-Life
>stovepipe ptsd
shame about puzzle agent 2 though
New York, nuff said.
Wait I guess technically the Midwest is in RDR2, but it's always just "the Midwest" and never a specific state.
>your state
Fallout 3 and most Splinter Cell games, guess which state.
Watchdogs takes place in Illinois but Chicago is completely different from 90% of the state
Despair
Turkmenistan?
Metroid Prime series was made in Texas.
>North Dakota
The only somewhat notable one that was developed here was Delver. It’s an okay indie game.
Vanishing of Ethan Carter is set in Wisconsin, perhaps the most underrated state.
represent NV
the only state that matters is california desu, everything else might as well not exist because of how irrelevant it is
shame it's a pile of shit
Massachusetts with Fallout 4.
Dog shit game just like Seattle
Yeah but there's no good games that take place here.
>Tfw Fallout went to shit and will never make a Broken Banks game
Fallout 3
One of the Modern Warfare games, I don't remember which. I think it was 2.
DC isn't a state
I'm not even mad the game was mediocre, but it LOOKS FUCKING NOTHING LIKE SEATTLE!!
Only the highest quality
The oregon trail takes place partially in missouri. That is it.
Fallout: New Vegas: Honest Hearts
American Truck Simulator
BeamNG.drive
TLOU
Yeah, but it looks nice at least
I live in Northern California so playing Fallout 2 was pretty cool.
Oh shit, what the fuck are they doing here in this God's forsaken shithole?
Hawaii... 0. I want a GTA here
>can island hop all the islands
>Honolulu is huge and similar to Miami, could serve as the Hawaii 5.0 inspiration
>story can revolve around drug trafficking and working for triads and Yakuza
>can grow weed in the valleys and build a drug empire
And if Rockstar wants to add more shitty mini games they can add in surfing and fishing and poi making
fellow nd bro
not 0, there were rocket power games.
WV
Fallout 76.... We're much more barren.
Vice City
I really doubt anything outside of no-name flash/indie games has ever actually been made in this state. And outside of pic related I can't think of a single game that even sniffs at having one scene set here that isn't a sports game.
Left 4 Dead (awesome western PA Forest aesthetic and super comfy when you disable zombies and just explore)
Last of Us (eh. Atleast the city was pretty looking)
Fallout 3 (The Pitt): I liked it.
More games should be set here. Two big cities (Philly and Pittsburgh) and comfy little hamlets and desolate crime ridden Steel towns and coal towns as well. Plus comfy forests and rolling hills and creepy atmosphere in certain seasons as well
Also Sheetz >Wawa
The Walking Dead: Season Two is set in ohio but that's not a video game
Based PA bro
Maryland, Virginia, or PA
Was 2. Maryland was a beautiful state. Drove from PA through Maryland and was in awe.
Based western PA bro
Westmoreland County > Allegheny
BETHESDA
The Adventures of Bayou Billy
Mafia 3
Resident Evil 7
Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive
Shadowman 1 and 2
>Westmoreland County > Allegheny
How does it feel for both of you to be wrong?
Beaver County RISE UP
Lot of PAfags in this thread love it. And I agree with you user. We got everything, depressing Detroit looking towns, comfy little 1700s-1800s towns, modern cities, gangs, italian Mob... could definitely make a openworld crime game..
>sending drugs through Philly to Pittsburgh and then shipping them out to Chicago, Detroit, etc. Could easily do a 100 different games in this state.
