Can we have a thread for this? What kind of deck should I make for playing as Terra?
Can we have a thread for this? What kind of deck should I make for playing as Terra?
>get to 6-7
>die when the boss has 20hp left
Every time. I feel like you really can't keep up with what's happening late game, you've got to brute force it a bit. Not a fan of that aspect, I'd like your play to be more important than your deck.
why is it so boring?
Yeah the T4 versions can be pretty difficult to tell what is happening. I have to kill the harder ones like selicy and terra in the first floors so I don't have to face the harder ones later on. Saving Gunner and Shiso for last is ideal.
the power of rock & roll and poison
you don't play terra because she's shit. Honestly just removing all of her shitty starter cards and building something entirely different seems like the way to go.
Got most unlocks and all Characters. It was a fun 20 hours. I think I'm going to play MMBN the question is which one has the best deck building? im in between playing 3 and 6. (I've already played 6,1.
How long before Nintendo or Crapcum try to sue this guy for ripping off MMBN?
Who cares BN is fucking dead.
Eh, 6 has the best deck building, by I still think that 3 is the best one of the bunch. 4 sucks, 2 is enjoyable and 5... liberation mission.
don't talk about him like that.
as someone who sort of likes the liberation missions I'd still say it's pretty shitty. The story has a ton of backtracking and just like 4 you're locked to level 1 chips before beating the game, limiting deck building. And even then S code good stuff is probably the best folder for the entire game and post game so there isn't much reason to deck build anyways.
I fucking wish that this was an actual BN ripoff
I remember playing 4 back then and liking it. Why is it bad?
>first time making it to eden
>accidentally killed a boss along the way so got the mixed boss
>had less than a thousand HP left when I died
Fuck.
What focuses should I set for shield stacking decks aside from phalanx?
How much HP does it have? Does it have multiple parts?
I never actually watched, I'm too busy dodging.
Like 20,000. It takes up the entire back half of the grid and doesn't move so it's very easy to hit.
In bn5 defense. They had to create double the amount of bosses for those game (since colonel and protoman team were both differents) and even when reusing old ones they put a spin to their design. And they also had to make you able to play as other navis.
It's unique enough, and only contains subtle-ish references. I don't see it getting c&d'd.
The story was not its strongest point. The whole tournament thing, while cool on paper, it was hella booring, since used the same pattern (first round then guy to fight with special navi). The area looked very small, and the dark chips were not so great to use. Even the villain was kinda there and later put in a good use in BN5
TL:DR
It felt more like a side game experience, than a main title.
Only played one run so far, please tell me this shit gets easier to parse
Between the less identifiable chip art and the way your deck is tucked into the corner with no pauses in the gameplay for you to see and manually set the order, I felt like I was more or less just button mashing the whole time
>blatant shilling on Yas Forums every fucking day
>Games must be 1(ONE) year old before you are allowed to talk about them on Yas Forums
>how dare you talk about games on Yas Forums
I've played for 18 hours and it's a lot easier to understand from when I first started. It's still pretty hard to full grasp late into the run, I think the game really needs a small pause before a fight starts so you can at least look over the enemies first.
poison is so good
Only phalanx cards and take the legendary cards of elements (flamberge, smog, firestom, fire wall) for area cover. I just beath the game the first time with this deck.
I love this game bros
Video games tend to get easier the more you play them, yes.
Well since she's holding back in her normal form it makes sense that her starting deck isn't so great. Too bad Boss Terra still whoops ass like you wouldn't believe if you wait too long to fight her.
>t. BNigger
Yes, I share a trait with the devs of this game and its target audience
I'm getting filtered by Terrable
Tips plox
There is usually a safe spot to stand when she drops the big 3x3s on your area, you just have to wait a bit for enough of the markers to appear. Otherwise just avoid the first couple then move to where they were to avoid the rest, she also stands still when she does this so you can do damage to her.
When she sends out that shockwave of attacks, stand on the other side of your area and move closer to her after it attacks the tile next to you. Probably her easiest attack to dodge but she can be annoying to hit here depending on where she decides to stand.
When she starts attacking with the converging orbs, move to the horizontally away from where they're going to all be and vertically out, you might get clipped once or twice but the damage isn't huge.
I have no idea how the diagonal attack works so I can't help you, I've only seen it once. I think one always goes forward while the other two bounce slow up and down and she stands still while using it. Did I miss anything?
Thanks user
Ugh, finding violette late is suffering.
Reva is so simple to play but so fun. Just remembering to grab the 5+ cost huge AoE spells helps in fucking up the gate too. I kinda put my controller down after taking down the gate and just accepted my death before I remembered I could try to reflect the projectiles back. Does anything actually happen if you manage to kill the angel looking lady who comes out after you down the gate?
What's wrong with Violette late? I tend to rush for Ice in my first 3 areas since Selicy is a pain late but Violette feels like a free win the few times I've seen her as 5th or 6th boss
I dont get how to avoid her undodgeable attack and her boombox spam gets me.
>dashing forward to drop huge crossfires and shotgun blasts
who is best character and why is it Selicy? Invader is so much fucking fun to play, the DPS is insane. Proper crossfire or shotgun will one-shot regular enemies even in lategame, and Glimmer's massive aoe damage fucks over the gate
>implying BNoomers are fit enough to play the game
Go back to your illegally downloaded ROMs. Be careful to not trigger any anti-piracy measures.
I pirated this game too, redditor
tr*nny game.
I'll stick to MMBN and shanghai.exe, thanks.
How do you even Violette, Character makes 0 sense to me
Fair enough. My grievance with fighting her late has more to do with her beam spam + auto attack phase since it's hard to see where is safe. The undodgeable attack? Do you mean the one after she drops shield tiles in her pseudo-rhythm game intending for you to tank the shot or are you talking about something else? Also does the boombox not have safe areas for you to chill in on later stages? Their attack patterns leave some blind spots too if you want to destroy them iirc.
That's some strange way to spell Reva

Stand on the green tiles, they give shield so that attack can't hurt you. And be sure to focus the boomboxes the instant she goes to spawn them, it's really obvious when she's gonna do it.
>it's really obvious when she's gonna do it.
how? Bosses have no tells prior to their attacks
>tfw love playing selicy
>want to play invader
>too shit to beat the game with her
Suffering.
I don't like the direction the dev is taking with patches. Obviously he had to fix the infinite rock spam, but I don't agree with any of those other nerfs. I feel like he's going to end up like the Binding of Isaac dev and just nerf anything that's remotely fun for the sake of difficulty.
I've reached stages 5 and 6 but by that point I feel like every enemy has way too much HP and my crap simply doesn't deal enough damage. I thought upgrading would fix this problem but it doesn't increase the base damage of the spell unless you luck out and get doublecast or something.
>nerf anything that's remotely fun for the sake of difficulty
This is a marketing strategy so Twitch faggots don't locust clear the game / new content in two hours.
Agreed. The #1 complaint is that the game is too hard, let people have their OP builds, which honestly aren't even OP. Only the retard cheese like rock cycle should've been fixed. He should've spent more time buffing shitty spells. Does anyone ever use Kinetic spells?
>implying there's going to be new content
>right hand hurts after playing the game for 30 minutes
is this the sign of old age?
I just want a shmup esque mode where we fight through set stages with waves of difficult enemy patterns into bosses with a prebuilt deck/char.
How do you kill those poison slimes? They absorb any attack into a shield. You can wait for them to poison themselves but is there a faster way?
fire, poison or the break shield spell
A frost proc works too
does the boss at eden have multiple phases? I got her down to 1 health and then she instantly regained a bunch and killed me
Ice pierce armor?
What is best focus and why is it Glimmer?
Were you on pacifist?
Every time I've played Selicy and I've proc'd frost on those slimes I see the full damage for frost pop up.
I don't know what that means, I spared all the other bosses if that's what it is
Playing with keyboard? My right wrist + hand were hurting since I locked it at an angle above my arrow keys but I found playing with a controller solved that problem. Could try rebinding your controls maybe?
I've had shield toss pop those guys early. I think damage seems to come before they shield up, so anything with single hit high burst could work.
That means you wasted Reva's revival before the boss died. If you don't die before that, Reva will revive you when the boss does her instakill on you
Easiest way to beat shopkeeper?
I'm pretty sure I got to the end by a sheer fluke
I just had endless shields and AOE poision and nothing could touch me
does the boss always have an instakill or only if you spare the other bosses
Mark her with a link right before she destroys all the ice pillars. Do this before the dev nerfs link, which I'm sure he will.
Frost procs and poison ignore shield. Also for some ungodly reason frost and poison will still stick through reflects like Reva's "weapon".
