Exclusive VR game

He awakes on some combine prison planet or space station, breaks out and eventually leads a rebellion of sorts, you can manage your squad with hand signals using some hand registering VR gloves, you also can customize your weapons, adjusts your sights and makes weapons all with your bare (virtual) hands.

Shepard awakens on a train headed for Nova Prospekt. He gets made into a Combine soldier and has to lead a squad of elite Combine Commandos to victory over the rebels. However at the end it turns out that the whole thing was trap, and that by winning the battle the Combine have lost the war. The Right Man in the WRONG place can make all the difference in the world.

make it a VR game but VERY different to alyx, set it during the 7 hour war and make it fucking BRUTAL, i wanna be shephard just straight slaughtering combine cunts

Gman starts by porting him to day 1 of combine overwatch training, installing him as a new recruit

Shortly after getting briefed he runs into his old drill seargent, both secretly meet early on to use knowledge to kill the combine internally

Shepherd blends in and communicates via radio with his old seargent and disables communication lines early on so the combine can't listen in

Game is action-stealth and sees shepherd nuking a synth factory from a distance, he gets in a combine chopper that's been rewired with a radio transmitter broken and voips into Xen again, with the Gman praising his work and putting him in stasis again to screaming

I don’t know what he’d do in the middle and the end, but he should end up stranded in Combine deep space/dimension, leave it ambiguous whether the G-Man wants him to find a way back to earth or to wage/instigate a covert assault on other Combine-controlled planets

alyx was great and they only scratched the surface of what VR half life could be.

Who would be giving him missions? Gman doesn't really tell you what to do he just puts you there, right?

Kinda like this, perhaps he teleports in to a vent somewhere, perhaps combine dimension, or xen if it's been taken over by combine? Stalker's in room below... Maybe sneak past them. Only thing is finding his first weapon, what could be a melee weapon?

After getting past he just runs in to portals etc and maybe prisoners of different species such as vortigaunts and rebel synths, and some humans. I'm thinking he would need to end up with an alyx tier companion.

He's the protagonist of HL3 and it starts with you executing Gordon Alyx and bitchass Eli and then you get turned into a grub chad for your service and you rape all of earth and then spend the rest of the game ascending to higher dimensions and becoming the overlord of the universe

Adrian is the definition of "you're not supposed to be here" so much so that gman locks him in indefinite isolation with no plans to bring him back. He's too dangerous. So my pitch would be something like

>shep hops between dimensions in an attempt to lose their trail
>ends up back on earth right before the seven hour war
>vorts try to use him to defeat the combine, futile effort
>really it's all excuse to see seven hour war gameplay
>shep goes into hiding, meets one of the last alien controllers severed from the nihilanth's hive mind
>he tells him his race is fucked just like his own
>ends with gman finding shep and personally putting him out of commission, game over, no good ending

If G-man wanted him out the way he would just kill him. But the rest of your idea is really good and it would be great to see the 7 hour war with current game tech and graphics

Gordon is implied to be already chosen by the Gman to do his bidding and is following a pre determined path so while he is a badass he comparatively had it easy
Adrian is explicitly stated by the gman to be someone who simply managed to survive against all odds without any help from him so he is technically the more dangerous of the two

Gman's employers wanted Shephard dead at first, but Gman just detained him.

His status is "detained" and Gman says that he only detains him instead of killing him because Adrian's tenacity reminds him of himself

The closing of the portals in episode 2 somehow wakes him from stasis. He is awaken in Xen world but inside an alien spaceship that is completely unrelated to Race X or the Combine and is a brand new species. He has to navigate his way through the spaceship killing your way through until you find a teleporter pod that slingshots you to galaxies and far distant planets, he see's a graphical interface console with all the combine forces heading to earth and sets his destination there. You end up actually get to experience the teleportation and crash land to earth but that's where the game ends
