I've been playing Tokyo xtreme racer zero on PCSX2 for a while and I'm on a point where my fully maxed Honda NSX gets overtake by Skylines at 200mph on Wangan B, I'm sorry but no, that's just fucking bullshit. I may drop the game if the AI keeps cheating like this.
Also, wtf is wrong with the Viper gang? they just mash the guardrails on the fucking highway left to right...

I want a game where I can learn to fix cars and drive them. I want a racer where you get a rusted piece of shit then work on it until it's a monster like Pimp My Ride but authentic instead of just throw TV screens on everything.

I wish Burnout had customization because Burnout Revenge is literally the perfect game other than that omission.

I don't know if the Stuntman games fall under racing games or not but I fucking loved the 2 games that came out. Nothing quite like them ever came around again and that's a shame.

I play gta for online racing mostly and enjoy it in spite of all the idiots who just ram you off the track.

Do yourself a favour and make a private session when you play instead of joining public lobbies because people will just attempt to kill you all the time.

Co op missions are also fun.

Stuntman (or driver 1 and 2) aren't racing games - they are patience simulators.

I use automatic because i'm just as much of a scrub at the game today as I was in 1995.

I've beaten ridge racer, RRR and rage racer all with automatic gearing because the difficulty isn't too high, R4 is a different beast but I could never "get" its handling model.

Just finished this bad boy yesterday on my Vita, it was extremely comfy. Pussied out of getting gold on all races, couldn't manage to get them on the last map and another one (maniac is cool but by far the hardest event).

How's Burnout Legends? I was thinking of picking it up next, and I have great memories of it as a kid; is it as good or is my memory tricking me?

Not quite racing (but kinda), but I wanted to emulate stuntman 1 on ps2 because I never finished it when I was a kid, but apparently there's a bug on mission 4 that block any progress. Does someone know if it's the case on every ISO, by chance ?

the NSX is a beast, but the engine is cramped as hell and doesnt have much space for modifications, iirc it has overheating problems with forced induction due how tight everything is, is not unrealistic to see skylines blasting it.

i enjoy fh4 a lot, because i just want to cruise and race awesome cars without stress or five hour tuning sessions, but i wish i knew more people who played it

it's awesome being able to upload and save top rated tunes, more games should do it. saves so much time and lets you get straight into the fun

i really do like that about fh4, but it's also fickle you usually end up with some fuckhuge xboxspoiler or shitty rims if you don't mod it yourself.

What are your settings to get it to look so nice?
