dragons dogma?

Gothic?

Darth Nihilus WAS powerful. Just not against (You). The Exile is literally the scissors to Nihilus's paper, and is the only person who could defeat him.

Pic related.

That doesn’t look like Underrail to me.

B A S E D

Oblivion?

That's the 2nd goat rpg of all time

yes its oblivion obviouslyyou fuck

Oblivion is the worst of the 3 modern Elder Scrolls games

morrowind?

It would be the best if leveling up and level scaling were not broken

You are mistaken. OP was referring to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which is objectively the best rpg of all time.

only with mods. otherwise it's just a really shitty interactive music video.

It would be the best if Todd didn’t totally shit on the lore because he wanted to make a Lord of the Rings game

Bandits wearing full daedra

explain?
it's better than fallout and it's better than skyrim

>it would be the best if it wasn't shit

how can the worst game in its series (havent played arena) be the best rpg ever made?

To this day I can't understand what people think is supposed to be so special about Oblivion.

Every single person who claims Oblivion is the best TES game is a nostalgiafag who first played it when they were a kid/teenager. Morrowind and Skyrim are on two ends of a scale, they each have their design choices that some people like and some people dislike, which causes some people to prefer one over the other. Oblivion just sits in an awkward middleground between the two, satisfying no-one.

...

/comfy/, immersive, with galerion's leveling it's 10/10 for me.
Shivering Isles is amazing also

they shit all over the lore everytime they make a game. Besides the series was a literal LOTR rip off since Morrowind.

I can see how it could be a comfort game for someone who played it at an appropriate time in their youth as their first open world rpg I guess, but to me it feels like flimsy plastic and rounded edges and it looks like that too.

I dunno I think justifying the change by having Tiber Septim getting so pissed off that Cyrodiil was a jungle that he used CHIM to turn it into rolling hills and temperate forests is pretty based.

The jungle thing is the least offensive of Oblivion’s retcons. They realized they fucked up though and had to canonize one of Kirkbride’s fanfics to justify it.

nah boi, Gothic 2 is the best RPG ever amde
Oblivion isnt even the best Elder Scrolls Game

Morrowind 'felt' like a Tolkien game, in that it got at the spirit of Tolkien and the approach to world building, cosmology and history and culture Tolkien did, but nothing about it was ripped wholesale from LOTR.

Hey, if it means more Kirkbride that's fine by me. He might be overly invested in trans-universal Dark Elf lore and Vivec but he still writes interesting stuff.

That can't be right, there are no good Elders Scrolls games

Uhhhhh, you sure about that?

Attached: Redguard.jpg (650x650, 96.74K)

Yeah but related to what?

But if Todd didn’t want to make his Lord of the Rings game in the first place, you would’ve gotten even more Kirkbride than that tiny snippet.

skyrim has been out for almost a decade but there still is no port of lop ears elf mini

Yeah I know, it's a cruel world we live in but I'll take every silver lining I can get. Don't the ESO devs use more of the Kirkbride lore though? Especially since there's that Morrowind expansion they've got. Hell I remember hearing rumors he was ghostwriting some ideas for the game years ago.

I can't pick a race in these games what should I do? I keep remakeing a character.

>immersive
Yeah I too like my gameworld randomly generated, that's what makes bugman's sky so great.

as far as i remember, Kirkbride is writing on some autistic TES lore sites about the tax rates on Kwama Eggs

races literally affect 0 of your gameplay, maybe except for 3 or 4 voicelines said by NPC and how fast you level certain abilities. IMO if you want to enjoy TES games you have to autistically invent some kind of character and RP as him constantly

Top tier choices: Redguard Male, Imperial Male, Dark Elf Male.

Honorable mention tier: Khajiit or Argonian female for your character to fuck with mods

Shit: Everything else.

I mean to role play. I keep starting new games I can't decide.
How do I play Khajit without the shit hair? Otherwise I might just play Orc.

Boring game for boring people.

Every hero is canonically a Nord.

here, and now you have to go full Pen and Paper and build a whole lore about him/her

The best rocket propelled grenade?

lot of people (me included) have a certain nostalgia for the game, i remember just walking through the Imperial City, feeling like a real pimp because i stole expensive clothes and wore them with some fancy sword. But even i have to admit that the game today suffers the Bethesda disease of you download a shit ton of mods and after 5 min you're bored

make sure to check the side profile before you put on the final touches...

Yeah I feel like I download the mods just to see what they do rather than enhance the game.

is "bethesda disease" the new term for your ADHD?

Nah lots of people experience this. Once you're in to modding it your enjoyment of the game is basically gone.

no, Beth games are simply boring after you played through them 2-3 times. I can play a lot of other RPG's like Gothic for multiple hours, but any Beth just gets incredibly boring after a couple of minutes, IMO the most fun you have with Beth games after playing through them is modding them for 2 hours to just realize that you can't mod a mediocre game on the same level of nostalgia that made it good in the first place

This. It's like developing your own game at that point, which obviously decreases enjoyment.

wrong game fucknuts

Retards like you need to stop being that deep in the realm of autism: STOP judging a game based on today's standards.
Playing this game for the first time back in 2006 was a mind blown experience.
