If you choose the libertarian ending in 1 you cause the Happening, if you choose the libertarian ending in Invisible War you cause nuclear Armageddon. I'm saying in that specific screenshot the character in the conversation has no idea what a republican is so the insult makes no sense, but the player does know what that idea is so it being there makes sense if for the player. Hot take here. Games were not apolitical and they were just as political in the past as they are no. The main differences from then and now are simple.
One, they are presented thoughtfully, with Fallout giving you stuff to explore and putting stuff on your plate for you to chew on. Modern games are not presenting you with a plate of food you might not like though. They are force feeding you. They are not happy woth expressing their point of view. They want to force it down your throats whcixh should cause any himan being with any rationality to go hungry rather than be treated this way. Your hunger pangs will go after a few hours, the indignity of swallowing this treatment lasts forever.
Two, the politics they have chosen are pseudoscience and lies. Transgenderism is a pseudoscientific belief system. My body does not define my gender but if my gender is different to what I was assigned at birth, then I must change my body to align with my gender... because my body does define my gender? Pure nonsense. I can take Fallout's criticism of American culture even if I admire America, as it is a valid point of view. Tramsgenderism is unsupported nonsense. That is why people are repulsed by the presence of it, it is not because they don't want politics, it is because they want grown up politics.

You laugh now but there are still places in the world where you can get jailed and at worst even executed for holding on to forbidden media so it's not fully unreasonable to be concerned of groups like that.
