I don't think you understand what an "obvious cash grab" is.
Nemesis as a constant pursuer is only a thing at the start of the game. For the majority of the game he just shows up at highly scripted moments for QTEs and boss fights.

I don't intend buying the game anytime soon because it looked like it was heading into that RE6 "action" direction despite me loving the RE2 remake. However, a cash grab this was not. It was in development for how many years, 3 or so? There are too many changes from both the original RE3 and RE2 REmake. They could have played it safe. The only questionable thing Capcom did was give it to some inferior studio but that decision is an executive one that can be justified. The game didn't suffer from the inferior studio, it suffered from being pushed in the wrong direction.

I thought the RE2 demo was shit but RE3 was my favourite RE so I'm more inclined to play this having seen negative reviews. All of my favourite games as a kid have been rebooted recently (Tomb Raider, Xcom, Resident Evil and Doom) and I haven't liked one so far. Except for Remake 1 but that was part of the classic era.
I think this is mostly to be blamed on how rushed RE3make was in comparison to RE2make. I really wonder if it was done just to move onto RE8 more quickly or to salvage Project Resistance.
