To be fair, making sure you are not missing any files or having any corrupted ones has happened to me multiple times. Mods, a bad connection, or a glitchy game can sometimes corrupt or delete needed files. Hell, I had to do that several times with Assassins Creed Odyssey twice after it installed updates and deleted one file that kept causing the game to crash when trying to dock.

I was trying to install WoTLK years ago and the installer would never load the EULA and let me proceed, like the space where the text is supposed to be would just be empty.
Friend came over, right clicked the installer exe, properties, closed it and it worked fine. To this day don't understand what the fuck happened.
