I liked it too.

that's not CTGP Revolution

I've actually gotten back to it lately, it's extra comfy

I agree, it is almost as fun as playing Super Smash Bros. Melee with the items on!

i brought my wii mote :3

a true man of culture -- this the only way smash bros. was ever meant to be experienced!

I wasn't a huge fan of the character specific items but outside of that I agree. The option to switch between two held items was very nice though and I still miss that feature to this day in 8 Deluxe.

Based itemchad

Definitely has the most memorable title theme.

It definitely gets underrated against the rest of the series, and it has a unique features that make it worth revisiting every now and then. However the best is 8 and it's not even close.

>do co-op with best bud in same kart
>backseat gets to throw punches
>punches shift your position
>tfw punch both of us down a ravine
Co-op kart racing is rough

Hi. I'm Daisy

>only works on a real wii with a real disc
lame as fuck

This but unironically

casuals youre only supposed to play tournament approved maps with no items

Reminder that Excitebike Arena is objectively the best track in the entire series, and it should be preemptively illegal if MK9 doesn't have it in it.

H-hi Daisy, nice to meet you..! :3

This and Mario kart DS were the shit.

>inb4 seething zoomers say 8 is the best

>2006
>Go on a field trip to Ontario
>We use a tour bus to get there
>Everyone with a DS played MKDS on the way there
Good times

I know you’re being sarcastic but item Melee is best Melee.

DS local wireless is awesome memories.
>that cool friend who had the SD card with every multiplayer game

>That one friend with an R4 card

If you’re a heavynigger, maybe

I’ve been trying for a long time to figure out why MK Wii and MK8 don’t do it for me the way DD did, the only thing I can come up with is level design. I think later MK games put too much emphasis on the spectacle instead of the level design, which is fun and all but hurts the replayability since you can only get all wide eyed so many times. That and the soundtrack for MK Wii was fucking awful apart from the main menu, I can’t even remember any tunes from MK8.

>GameCube
>not zoomer

This used to be one my favorite games of all time but after going back to it after 8 it feels kind of awful.

It certainly had the best Rainbow Road

Wait I do like the Daisy Mall music too, I can’t think of any others though

sorry about your math skills, the oldest zoomers were toddlers when DD was released

It's called a road, it's called a Rainbow Road.

The weird delay when you make turns is a little odd, you get used to it though.

>was just in a lobby where I was the only person who wasn't Japanese
>10 of the 11 other players were heavy characters on Wiggler ATVs with rollers

Nevermind, you can’t be reasoned with

I'LL MISS YOU AGAIN, UNCLE

>being this tech illiterate

Not him but I’m 28, I was in about 4th grade when the GameCube released if I remember right, so while I grew up on all of Nintendo’s consoles, the GameCube would have been the first one to “come out” while I was old enough to understand that. So in a way, I grew up on the GameCube, it was just far from my first system(first would have been my older brothers’ NES). Can zoomers be 28? The “rules” for that confuse me.

Please tell me how you can play the latest version of CTGP-R except on real hardware with a real disc.

kinda based

Yep. Although, Super Mario Kart is a close second. Sorry zoomies. You missed out again.

SOUL

That's not Mario Kart DS

I can hear it

nope, not if you're trying to convince me that most people who remember gc fondly are zoomers.

You are not wrong. If the DS version had better graphic and wasn't as broken it could easily have beaten it though.

They were three when DD came out retard.

DD handled shortcuts better than any MK game. They generally felt like a secret passage instead of just a cut corner, although there are also plenty of corner cuts as well.

>after the nose tunnel in yoshi circuit

shit game.
mkwii the real racing game

>everyone fought over paratroopa and waluigi every time
>that weird kid who picks the babies
>the wario and luigi guy
>the guy who picked the princesses so he could light their butts on fire, flatten them and see up their legs in the dk stage

Yeah melee is great with items the ridiculous amount of instant kill items in the newer games makes casual matches shit you never go over 100 damage stocks are too short melee with items strikes the right balance

I've always liked the weighty steering of double dash the karts have never felt better to steer

No the order from best to worst
DD
8
Ds
64
7
Wii
1
GBA

Also I'd put arcade after 64 it's tracks wre fairly plain

There are pre-made CTGP-isos floating around if you can't make one yourself, just google them.

None for CTGP 1.03.
