I never even really find anything on the islands worth bringing back, its nothing I can never find on my own island. Its always just more rocks for more minerals. I never even find rare creatures/fish weather its night time or daylight.

Maybe its because im in the Southern hemisphere, i should have done some research before choosing where my island was. But Im too developed in my own island to go back now. Also there is more music, just different variations of the main one. It honestly is bad.

Too many people are clearly defending this game, its fun don't get me wrong, but it honestly is a huge step back. I'll still play the shit out of it though. But thats just because I'm a fan of the series. Doesn't mean I'm going to defend it, because it is heavily flawed so far.

wow i though it was just me, i don't understand all the rage with traveling to random islands. So far its trash. I cant even farm tarantulas because im also in the southern hemisphere. I see scorpians occasionally but i can never get them. Its honestly not even worth all the effort to clear and island and waste time there.

I prefer the guitar track from before the town hall because frankly the hourly tracks fucking suck this time around. New Leaf had achieved perfection and they squandered it for this.

It’s the same basic melody repeated every hour and either slowed down or sped up, its super annoying, id kill for a setting to use music from past games

I've seen scorpions, havn't caught any yet. Also haven't seen ANY sharks. Biggest catch has been a Ray. I'm on day 9 with no time travel so far, but I'm about to fucking start.

I hated the hourly music at first and I do wish it had a bit more variation, but it's definitely growing on me. I felt the same way when NL changed all the WW/CF music too, except for a few standout tracks like 7pm/2am. In NH it's 6pm that stands out so far. Give it time.

Everything from 5pm through 4am is largely fine, it’s the morning and daytime tracks that are the biggest offenders.

It’s obvious large portions of the game were unfinished, I imagine that’s part of it.

Still have 1.0.0 installed. Exploiting the fuck out the dupe glitch with a golden trout. AC is way more fun when you don't have to grind bells.

How about how your house storage only holds 120 items? We have to hoard resources and they didn't even give us the means to expand storage. How is anybody going to argue that this game isn't a fucking nightmare to play?

Of course feel free to correct me if im not far enough, god forbid my next house expansion only grant me an additional 20 spaces of storage.

The only thing I hate about this Game that it doesnt let you craft multiple items in one go. Its so annoying

What pisses me off more about that statement is that Nintendo KNEW it would be annoying, so they allow you to tap A for you to build faster. Of course thats hardly a solution.

6 AM is the best track in the game. Shame it's on 6 AM, so you don't really get to hear it. But yeah, I don't click with anything from 7 AM-12 PM, and it all sounds so samey. Good thing I play in the evenings, I guess.

They wanted to include a crafting system so you can make your own furniture. They wanted to entice people to use the system often so that they would remember it exists. The solution is to force the player to make tools which keep breaking.

What I mean is that if I could do everything I wanted with my town in a few days using time travel and duping, I think like I'd just feel done with it.

New Horizons > New Leaf > Everything else

Considering I haven't seen any of the special islands after visiting probably two dozen, yeah the random islands are trash. The increased spawns could be nice, but your own island has just as many spawns just over a greater area while also being able to access your storage and store. Particularly, the spawns at the top of the waterfall, or off the pier, where specifically rare fish are found, aren't frequent enough to warrant over just using bait in your town. If you found something worthwhile on most trips it would incentivise continuing to go, but that Miles gambling addiction I had for a while quickly wore off. Now there are better things to spend Miles on when I'm not just farming money.

That's a shit solution. There's plenty to remind you it exists, like Nook Miles, constantly receiving DIY recipes, villagers crafting their own things...
