But that's not the case in Cyberpunk or Blade Runner. Hell I'm willing to guess the cyberpunk universes where you can freely jump from one body to another with no problems or setbacks are very few. And even in Altered Carbon you have the deal with Bancroft having lots of children but not letting any one of them grow up beyond him. Some people might simply just want to have descendants for the sake of it regardless of their lifespan.
